Online Quitters Cannot Escape Marvel vs. Capcom 3

There’s nothing worse than playing a game online while you’re winning to have your opponent quit the game midway because they did not want to get see their own butts kicked. It’s happened to me quite a number of times from games of several genres and quite frankly, I’m sure many of you are sick of it too.

These cowards who are too afraid of losing won’t be so lucky anymore when they play Marvel vs. Capcom 3. This is because Capcom has taken a note of these quitters and will include an online reputation system.

They had the disconnection rating in SF4/SSF4 too, but that is awesome that quitters get paired with other quitters lol.

Also they should implement the Reach system of not letting you play for half an hour if you quit too much and awarding non-quitters with money from the slot at the end of every match.

the amount of times i got kicked out of a game on uncharted 2 and lost $40.000....

systems ike these don't always work

Mr Exclusive5004d ago

Uncharted 2 was the worst, because sometimes it would lock on the loading match screen or during the game itself and the only option has to hard reset the PS3 and hence getting punished for it.

schlanz5004d ago

"Thankfully, Capcom is already aware of this occurring and will only punish those who form a pattern of disconnections. If you disconnect the game only a few times because of connection issues, your online reputation will not be tarnished. Only frequent quitters will have a negative impact on their online reputation in Marvel vs. Capcom 3"

More games need systems like this. If I had a nickel for every time I've been ragequit on...

jbl3165004d ago

yea it's annoying eh. I like playing Skate 3 and whenever I'm winning they run away...

Kon5004d ago

FIFA should learn with this game. If you played FIFA online you'll know what i'm talking about.

soundslike5004d ago

Lots of games claim to have systems like this, yet none of them really work. It will be interesting to see if this works.

mike90775004d ago

Not gonna lie ive raged quit a few times.

mightyboot5004d ago (Edited 5004d ago )

Sometimes LAG is the real one to blame for all rage quitting.

And those players that spam extremly repetitve attack moves also makes me very pissed sometimes.

soundslike5004d ago

If the game has a real block button and a real way to parry, its not hard to learn how to shut down those people. In SC4 I could pretty much block and parry every kilik and maxi spam combo. Then THEY were the ones that quit.

Capcom Summer humble bundle offers $349 worth of Steam Deck games for $30

Humble Bundle offers a new summer deal with classic Capcom games and additional charity support - you won't want to miss it.

Chryzz2347d ago

They the reason my steam library is growing, the bundles are crazy

__y2jb47d ago (Edited 47d ago )

As if that pile of old ass games is worth $350. I mean there’s some good titles there for sure but there’s no way most gamers haven’t already got or played most of them already. Lots of them haven’t aged well too.

It’s basically $30 for a bunch of games you’ll never play.

Some love for Resident Evil Code Veronica, Dino Crisis, or Okami would be nice Capcom.

Code Veronica’s gotta be on the way. It’s the biggest missing link as far as remakes. Make it so!

What I'll never understand with Dino Crisis was that with RE6, they went down a action heavy route which people disliked and didn't fit the RE formula but I feel that would have worked perfectly for Dino Crisis if they went down the Dino Crisis 2 route of being a action game over the more RE inspired DC1.

As long as it's nothing like DC3, Id absolutely love a new DC game.
