what is a video games main function? to play video games. which one is reliable and is least likely to stop working? which one has the most quality games and exclusive games? these are common sense questions people should ask.

The answer is simply Wii..

ONe more thing to add to what you were talking about.

Which company came out and said its user base was complete morons that needed them to tell them what their consumers wanted and that millions of them were so stupid they would line up to buy a PS3 regardless of what it offered?

hatchimatchi3018d ago

lol, seferoth

give it a rest

nintendo basically did the same thing with the n64.

For some it's the PS3 or the Wii. For me it's the 360 Slim 250gb.

I have all three and prefer PS3 most. PS3 has my favorite exclusives.

I find it extremely dumb when some one only owns one console and think's it's the best one when they are usually misinformed about the competition. There was a lot I didn't know about the 360 from reading articles on the internet. When I got one for myself I learned a lot about it.

I went with the ps3 because I knew I wasn't going to be gaming a whole lot. It did much more than the other two systems did and so it just seemed like a logical fit to put in the living room at the time. I'm sure the wii and xbox 360 are better gaming machines, I wouldn't know as I've seldom played either, but for what I use it for the Ps3 is just fine.

@Jezuz I doubt what I did was a personal attack. I used 2 article posts that he made and put them side by side. Everything was within the realm of N4G (that sounded nerdy). Nothing was mentioned about his personal life (ex. family, friends, and work). I did this to simply let others know of Balt's intentions, which is to troll articles.

Buying a ps3 because you don't play much? That's should be the other way around man, given the massive games collection that the PS3 has.

"I'm sure the wii and xbox 360 are better gaming machines, I wouldn't know as I've seldom played either". WTF are you saying? Your second sentence just kicks your first one ass. You "seldom played", yet you "sure" about it?

lol at xbox 360 in 2011
ps3 has more AAA,AA,A games than the xbox 360

christheredhead3019d ago

i went with all 3 until my xbox got the rrod twice. pretty bummed about that. i didnt buy them all at once though obviously. bought the 360, ps3, then wii. each system has their own strengths and weaknesses as well as their own unique games. most played system though is probably the wii believe it or not. its got games that i grew up playing so of course that nostalgia always pulls me in. currently playing donkey kong country returns like non stop. so much fun. ps3 comes in a very close 2nd place though.

I have to agree with you in the best experience is to own all 3. All 3 offer something the others don't and all have very good games. Each of us uses our consoles for different things too.

I use the PS3 for Exclusive PS3 games, remote play and PlayTV

360 For cross platform games Exclusives Skyplayer, kinect, Zune and streaming movies form home server to 360.

Wii for Exclusive games.

At the end of the day there is no best console on the market they are as good or as bad as you make them out to be.

I opted for PS3 at launch, then bought a Wii a couple of years later. For my gaming preferences and schedule, those two are the perfect choices. It's important to make the best, most informed, purchase decisions possible - especially with the economy as it is now.

Some very good questions have been raised. Initially, I purchased an Xbox 360 shortly after launch. I eventually purchased a Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii. For someone that is looking to buy their first console system, looking at hardware reliability, software library availability, and available services is a must these days.

Since all three major platforms offer online services, you should also consider whether you want to pay for it (i.e. Xbox Live with its additional content) or not (i.e. the Playstation Network). Of course, there is always Nintendo's online network, but unfortunately it doesn't offer much in comparison.
