This looks like a useful list of games to probably avoid if I get a Wii.

Unless you are a SSB Melee fundamentalist, don't avoid Brawl.

Otherwise, yes, the games on this list are not really worth it unless you can dredge them out of the bargain bin.

DO NOT avoid Epic Mickey, Metroid: Other M, Brawl, Wii Motion Plus, or The Conduit. Great games (and peripheral); and in the case of The Conduit, good game. >_>

SSBB wasn't disappointing...

I loved it as well but I can understand his point of view. Melee was the quintessential brawler, with perfectly balanced fighters, while brawl opted to be less tournament friendly, but offer more things. Both are great games, but if you're a hardcore SSBM player, then yea I can see how brawl was disappointing.

I didn't find Other M or Brawl disappointing.. but then again I don't ever set my expectations high enough to be disappointed.

Lol Brawl is a 93 on Metacritic. This list fails.

I don't get why people consider Melee the standard physics for Smash Bros; Melee was completely different than Smash 64. Sakurai pretty much said that Brawl is the new standard for future Smash games, so it's time to get used to it.

Games can still be disappointing despite being good. It all depends on expectations and the legacy crafted by the predecessors.

For example, I enjoyed New Super Mario Bros. Wii, but I still found it to be quite the disappointing title. The DS original owned the Wii sequel in my opinion.
