The sins of Alpha Protocol

Tom Chick writes: "Why didn't Alpha Protocol, last year's best RPG/shooter hybrid, find its place on more "best of the year" lists? The easy answer is that a) people liked other games better, and b) who cares? But as a bona fide, card-carrying, state-certified, legally designated Alpha Protocol apologist, I'd like to consider a few reasons it didn't find a wider audience among the dudes who adored Mass Effect 2, Red Dead Redemption, Call of Duty: Black Ops, and other highly glossy, middling fare that earned big bucks and stratospheric Metacritic scores."

As someone who recently played the game............I was pleasantly surprised.

The game had odd pc related bugs admittedly, but otherwise I found it far more enjoyable than I was told I would by practically every review out there.

Alpha Protocol is one of many reasons I don't let reviews factor into my game purchases. I had more fun with this game than some of the "elite" games of 2010.

1st: Mass Effect 2 was the best rpg/tps hybrid, 2nd: AP kinda sucked.
