Beyond Good and Evil HD given updates, love it deserves

ARS: Beyond Good and Evil is a game that everyone seems to love now, although next to no one bought it upon its release. The cult favorite is getting a second chance on the Xbox Live Arcade next month, and the preview given to press during CES got high marks.

Beyond Good and Evil told the story of Jade, a photojournalist who exposes a vast conspiracy with her friend, a humanoid pig named Pey'j. The third-person play was top-notch, and the characters, the world they inhabit, and the way the story unfolds were far above what most games were capable of when it was released on the GameCube, PS2, and PC. The game failed to find an audience, but with improved buzz and a graphical overhaul, it now has the opportunity to find a more receptive public.

I played it from start to finish and it was good, but not great. The level design was claustrophobic and the game-play was for babies.

I want to buy it this time around.

Just like Ico and SotC.

Its a little sad there are so many bandwagon jumpers, but at the same time its good if these games get the attention now they should have had from the start.

For the record, I had all 3 on day 1.

I played both Ico and BGaE twice through, but never bought them for various reasons. I just found out that SotC was Ico 2 and finding out that a really good game has a sequel; damn right I'm hopping on that bandwagon!

Wish this was coming to PSN! I could give it another few playthroughs.

i bought it DAY ONE.just like ICO and SOTC.

while splinter cell was getting all the love from ubisoft(which i later did buy)i wanted BG&E because michael ancel created rayman.which i also liked.but it was ubisoft's fault why it didn't sell.just like why we are waiting for the sequel.

great story, great fun.even picture taking was fun.the man knows how to make a game.very miyamoto and zelda like.
