Good addition, although you would expect Shogi or an eastern version instead of chess, since it is Shogun.

I'm sure they have reasons for the set being Western Chess, probably the fact that most people who buy the game will have no idea how to play Shogi or even know how to read Japanese. People know Western chess and it's easy to learn.

This is one of my top three games -to-be of 2011. This, Witcher 2 and Crysis 2. The addition of DX11 is Shogun 2 is great and hopefully I'll have a DX11 card by then. I love the box for this, looks great and one of the better ones I've seen. What should be included is a code to activate this on Steam, that way I won't have to deal with disks and just have the Collector's Edition items and have the game fully Steam integrated.
