In the epic battle of good versus evil, it’s rare to see the bad guys come out ahead. This is especially true in the hundreds (if not thousands) of video games that cast players as the hero, charged with slaughtering hordes of enemies en route to a classic showdown that ultimately results in saving a city, planet and perhaps an entire galaxy from destruction. Besides, few players want to invest several hours, only to watch in horror as their good-natured warrior succumbs to his or her arch nemesis.
That said, a handful of games buck the trend by letting the bad guys win.
