GT5 is a drug! Hopefully my PS3 can keep up with the amount it's being used.

No hud premium cars in car view is so damn good... in the rain and night.

wu-stix3241d ago

Night driving is awesome, especially with the fireworks going off. The tuscany challenge was really nice.

hay3241d ago

No HUD, in car view and solid steering wheel.

And to think people were bashing this game, this just shows no matter how much u bash a game it will not stop the quality coming throw and the fans will love it and make it a huge seller.

The ps3 community has to come out and buy this game and sony must do heavy advertising on all major titles to boost the end of the day strong sales=profit. NPD #,s for december should tell the story.

DFresh3241d ago

NPD isn't the entire world.
Just like every other Gran Turismo game it'll sell 10 million plus copies when it's all said and done.
Hell every PS3 exclusive is like that.
Start off slow and then sell really high later down the road.

RedDevils3241d ago

European love cars and Football, and American love their Ruby OR NFL, so NPD doesn't meant shit

ed: (del) Second thoughts, two posts above me posted while i was typing my two cents have already covered it.

Actually, the negative reveiws did slow GT5 sales down. The game would have been selling at a more rapid rate had there been 9.9s across the board which is what it rightly should have been getting.

I have no clue why the gaming media ragged on this game that so obviously drips with quality but I'm sure there's a story behind it and we will never really know why they did what they did.

Sony lets their games speak for themselves. If a game is good people will tell/show their friends and the friends will buy it. They don't need massive marketing budgets to tell people they have to buy the game. Sure this isn't the way to get massive day one sales but the games have longer tails. This is why you see PS3 games stay at higher price at retail for longer than 360 games. Look at Halo Reach it took 2 months for the title to drop down to $40 new. You wont see GT5 for $40 until September at the soonest.
