At Kinectaku we've reviewed every Kinect game, but if the sensor's back catalogue does nothing for you then there's still plenty of exciting titles on the way in 2011 that could change your mind. Here's our pick of five games to keep your eye on in the next twelve months.

Oh my, a Kinect website using the Move pun cliché title! Is that allowed?

TBM5285d ago

I will never have this camera attached to my 360 slim as none of the games interest me in the slightest.

Id like to thank M$ for making me look forward to only Gears this year exclusives wise.

I'd like to thank TBM for re-joining this website less than 2 days ago to start fresh and let everyone know how he feels in a more civil manner.

TBM5285d ago

@kav

Just out of curiosity who do you think I am lol?

Deleting5285d ago

I think if I've been waiting for Forza Motorsport 4 for a while Kinect is the last thing I would want to use on it.

A nice sit down on a comfy chair driving the night away with my faithful controller :)

Mustang300C20125285d ago

So don't use it. That is why it is an OPTION.

Mustang300C20125285d ago

Your point? Seems like a good deal considering it does OTHER thing outside of just one game. Funny how buying a wheel is more than just the Kinect but mentioning it is a $150 option is pretty ignorant. I could have got your point if that is the ONLY thing you did was use it for Forza 4.

trounbyfire5285d ago

the on rails starwars game LMAO

FailOverHero5285d ago

I don't know. This seems like trolling. On topic. Kinect will garner alot of hate but will still produce lots of fun in the new year. Fun and sales

Philoctetes5285d ago

It *should* generate a lot of hate. Kinect is just about ruining the 360 by diverting resources away from hardcore games. For 99.9% of the people who hang out at N4G, that's a bad thing.

You're right about sales, though. One thing that the Wii proved and that Kinect is proving is that there are a huge number of people out there who like motion control, dance games, party games, fitness games, etc. This fact makes me sad, but it's hard to fault Microsoft for tapping into this market. It sucks for 360-only gamers, but it's a good business decision for their shareholders I guess.

Bigpappy5285d ago (Edited 5285d ago )

Some of you Kinect haters make no sense to me. 99% of people on N4G are PS3 loyalyst, who think Kinect is is stealing the glory from the Move. You feel bad for 360 owners, and they are the main people buying Kinect. I am a 360 only owner, and for the life of me can not figure out why you people are speaking for people like me.

I am looking forward to playing child of eden and Star Wars on Kinect. But I am also looking forward to playing unanounce games and hybrids in future .

Philoctetes5285d ago

@bigpappy

Sorry, but I don't own Move, and I couldn't less how well Move sells vs. Kinect, seeing as how I don't own stock in either Sony or Microsoft. I just like to play quality games on my console of choice. I'm glad you're enjoying your on-rails games. Different strokes I guess.

OllieBoy5285d ago

It has to be on rails. How else will you move around with no analog stick?

UP5285d ago

You walk in place. {cringe} or you use one hand with the 360 controller but then you cant use that hand for anything else. Lucas arts could release a lightsaber with a analog stick on it when it comes out but then it would be just a ps move that just works for a fraction of games.

ComboBreaker5285d ago

So you could walk in place to walk forward. But how do you turn? Cause if you turn to turn, you're not going to be able to see the TV anymore.

MyNameIsNotRick5285d ago

Well...I'm a "hardcore" gamer and I still like playing kinect with my kids. Sorry...it's fun and my kids (7, 12, and 15) all love it. My son (12) has been playing non stop since christmas. We also play halo and cod online. Jesus, you can do both. I agree, the starwars game may suck...but my son and his friends can't wait and I'm sure that's what is intended.

peeps5285d ago (Edited 5285d ago )

Some games coming out for kinect might be worthwhile next year but i really don't get the hype behind the star wars game. I mean perhaps ppl are expecting the two to go together perfectly but i'm expecting a rather bland attempt at a star wars game on rails + flailing arms about. Also the art style certain seems more geared towards the younger gamer with the clone wars look.

Also Foza = sim racer, is anyone seriously looking forward to playing it holding on to thin air, be honest now. Perhaps they're trying to entice the casual kinect players but I would have though forza's main crowd will stick to controllers/wheels

etownone5285d ago (Edited 5285d ago )

Forza 4 is going to be the first controller (wheel) plus Kinect game.

So i ask you, is anyone seriously not looking forward to playing the sequel to the definitive racer this gen that gives players the option to take customizations of your car to the next level using Kinect?

peeps5285d ago

" customizations of your car to the next level using Kinect?"

how are they doing that?

Arup025285d ago

GT5=Sim racer and you play with a controller. What's the point?

Biggest5285d ago

What the hell are you trying to say here? The controller is just as bad as Kinect for a racing game? That's as far as my imagination can go with what you said. If that is what you meant. . . WOWCRAZY!

Arup025285d ago (Edited 5285d ago )

@ Biggest what I'm saying that people are complaining about how unrealistic will be to play a sim game with your hands in the air but playing with a controller in your hand is the same thing. People can complain about you playing with your hands in the air, but this isn't more unrealistic than playing with a controller.

UP5285d ago

Some of those games might be great but Steel Battalion has a huge chance of being a disaster. How do you make this http://www.swotti.com/tmp/s... work with just this http://www.gresik.ca/images...

The score for the first Plants Vs Zombies is such great, iconic music that it has a timeless quality. Not quite the level of Minecraft, but wonderful in its own right.

I hope it's a remake of the 1st game. But it's probably just the PS5 version of Red Dead Redemption 2

OtterX5d ago

I hope a PS5 upgrade launches on the same day as announcement & it costs no more than $10. I already bought the Ultimate Edition once, they got good money from me.

I stopped playing completely 2 years ago until they did 60fps. I really didn't expect it would take this long & I didn't want to start completely over on PC.

GamerRN4d ago (Edited 4d ago )

I've been waiting for 60 to finish the game myself

OtterX4d ago

hopefully we'll know by the end of tomorrow! *crosses fingers*

dmonee5d ago

My wish is that its optimized for current gen machines, with some sort of story expansion. Undead nightmare 2! My 2nd wish is that it just shadow drops on the day of the announcement!.

Lionsguard5d ago

Give me my RDR2 Undead Nightmare already.
