Charles from The Game Fanatics once again takes us into the history of our believed video game industry to set the record straight. "Caution: Do not read if you are a fanboy…"
The Eye Toy.
Nope. Go further back than that.
Pft far from a motion control device... *The one stated in the article* A) How do you know it works just as well as the move? Have you played it?
no, not the powerglove does anybody ever read the actual articles?
The Egg... No, The Chicken.... Wait! What was the question again?
The chicken of course. The chicken(or whatever it was pre-chicken) is evolved to lay eggs. Its a retarded question ofcourse. Tech evolves, diverts, learn to live with it people.
sony is the first people who did it right.
and THIS is all you need to know.there were many.but sony was the first to get motion control right and accurate. nintendo had to release an add-on because it was not and still not up to snuff compared to move. microsoft downgraded because they had to save those billions on marketing to oprah, ellen and bieber than making it accurate in R&D.so it's still not accurate.
The Dreamcast Dreameye most consider the birth of modern camera based interactivity. http://www.youtube.com/watc... http://www.youtube.com/watc... DreamCast ran a custom Microsoft Windows OS and gave birth to modern gaming. When Sony killed the DreamCast they copied all of its ideas and features.
the dreameye had absolutely nothing to do with motion controlled gaming
That was supposed to be a joke i think.
do u see any body laughing?
Sega did it first as far as I'm aware, but the concept was around along time before that
those three are the latest bunch... newfag
facepalm.com do we really need more gaming sites and comparison articles? that's why like neogaf.. trolling kept to a minimum and no floods of articles from all these new sites. doesnt matter which came first. go check the threads of actual gamers enjoying each and you will find the one for you. maybe its all of them.
We never said we weren't enjoying these. Besides this is America, if every Tom, Dick, and Harry decided to make a gaming site there's nothing saying they can't. If you like neogaf well stay there, but keep your bashful opinions to yourself. You sir are the troll here. :)
Allow me to answer that question, with a question of my own..What kind of question is that?
Which came first? The Wii, Move or Kinect? Chuck Norris. :) Sega, in my opinion.
*sits back* Just watch as the ignorance flows. BTW the Move is a great motion control device. Got one for Xmas with SC. Can't put it down. All the nonsense they say is wrong with it is either lies or exaggeration. Check it out. Can't wait for more games. Gladiator battle plus archery physics would make an awesome Zelda or Demon Souls like adventure game
Which came first: The chicken or the egg? I don't care which came first. they are excellent motion controllers. It's not like they copied each other.
Dreamcast did it first baby!! Oh god damnit why do I always post under Arup!!
The Le Stick and then came the Powerglove.
Dont know who did it first but i know who does it best. Kinect.... all others bow down.
fanboys weren't supposed to read this....facts are being stated, not opinions or ideas. Which came first is not really a comparison question...however which one does it better, or which one "perfects" it is completely personal. Motion control is not perfected...having owned the Wii, Move, and Kinect I can say that with confidence. Some definitely outshine the others but perfection is another generation away. That is my opinion, but as you'll see, none of that is included in the article.
Better question. Who cares more? Sony fanboys, M$ fanboys or soccer moms(wii)? j/k.
Powerglove is not motion gaming, becouse it has wired. PS eyetoy use no wires so it is the first motion controlls for the mass market. And Le Stick is was first but it has wired. Becouse i have one :)
ok but does it use motion? yes than its motion base wtf its has to be wires?!
The Powerglove WAS motion controlling. Does not matter if was wired or not, the movement for action WAS motion controlling within the game. You used hand gestures to move objects on the screen: Translation: MOTION CONTROL GAMING. With your bankrupted reasoning Real killer, then the Wii is not motion controlling because it uses wires. See how foolish you sound? ega also had it's hand in the pie before Sony when it came to motion controls. It was called Sega Activator AND RELEASED IN 1993. This came out before the PS2, Move concept and Move's Patent and PSEYE. Lets not even mention DreamEye. http://www.youtube.com/watc... Sony did not invent motion controls nor was it first. Not even close. Even Logi-tech partnering with Microsoft in the 90's bringing out flight control sticks that had motion controls was before Sony. Atari was the first with the Le Stick. Know your facts before you post Real Killer
"PS eyetoy use no wires so it is the first motion controls for the mass market" And the DreamEye also had "no wires" and it was released well before the Eyetoy so your wrong as usual.
is that French?
I think the wii is the most popular motion control, but i don't know who did it first though
Dreamcast was a beast machine...
I remember getting the eyetoy back in the day it was fun and new at the time. I still have it.
I'm sure there must have been some bad ass ape around 50.000 BC who only had to point at a tree for another monkey to get him that banana. He was the first to use motion control, no wires, case closed & happy new year.
Well, Nintendo brought it to the masses, who had the balls to mass market the motion control as the default control scheme of its "do or die" console, with much inferior computing power compared to its rivals. We should give credit where its due.
Kinect rocks when you get it right, I install all Kinect games, it helps a lot with the response times, you do need space though, but it's worth it.
You're mixing loading times to response times, man. I hope you're joking :) Installing a kinect game will not help with the response times, c'mon...
It does though, data access is quicker from the HDD so it softens the load, don't believe me then at least try it for yourself first before you assume it not to be true.
