Xbox 360 And Playstation 3 Now Have Access To Operation Hastings

It's safe to say that 2010 ended with a bang for the whole Battlefield community. December has been a month in which Battlefield: Bad Company 2 really proved it's weight as a first class FPS game with 4 additional new maps in Map Pack 7 and with the release of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam, players received a total of 9 brand new maps to play on.

The Community Challenge was won by the PC players who managed to reach the 69 million mark first of all three platforms.

Lol. Developers have to carry console across the line.

Great effort...

EL1TE3238d ago

True, however i think at the start they should just do a global platform team actions to avoid this kind of things.

Batmau53238d ago (Edited 3238d ago )

I don't know about that, whilst playing with the PC crowd we had an "Us Vs Them" mentality that drove us to be better team players.

EL1TE3238d ago (Edited 3238d ago )

I think you didn't get it, i'm not talking about cross platform play, i'm talking about merging the number of team actions from all platforms into one.

If people confuse this with cross platform play i have no clue how did they reach that idea.

Drjft3238d ago

Batmau5 is saying the PC community was always trying to beat the console kiddie community to the finish line.

He didn't even mention cross-platform play. You misread and misunderstood his post.

i can't even imagine playing this game on console. the maps are so huge and i'm willing to bet the player cap is pretty low.

game is great though. blows COD away - not even a competition.

@El1te: that's basically what they did. the PC gamers did the work and the console gamers reaped the rewards.

JohnnyBadfinger3238d ago

I play it on 360... and i cant imagine it with more than 24 players... its far to hectic with 16 players let alone 24. What the player cap on PC?

EL1TE3238d ago

@Drjft Yes i think you're right. My bad, i'm sorry.

alrighhhhhhhhhht hastannnnnnnnnnnnngs.

JsonHenry3238d ago

So, did this sell better on the PC than on the consoles? Or did PC players really just out teamplay the console versions?

pixelsword3238d ago (Edited 3238d ago )

That's probably because most console owners have more games to play?

Xfanboy3237d ago

seeing how it's the best shooter on PC and console what else could be played?? why??

BF3 console is 2nd thought now!!

Ravenor3237d ago

Right, because most console games aren't released on the PC as well.

JsonHenry3237d ago

The PC catalog dwarfs the console's game catalog.

Klepto3238d ago

@JohnnybadFinger

The cap on the PC is 32 and it is much better with more people. Battlefield has always been about epic battles and large scale war not puny 16 player firefights.

No but seriously I love my 360.

Spitfire_Riggz3238d ago

ALRIGHT!!! I was busting out my syringe and tapping select every millisecond hoping my single effort would unlock Hastings.. it WORKED. Seriously though cant wait to play on this map.

duplissi3238d ago

ya, everytime i saw someone drop some ammo i would fire one shot then reload just so whoever dropped it would get a team resupply.

duplissi3238d ago

Rangers lead the way. actually.

Spitfire_Riggz3238d ago (Edited 3238d ago )
