Strategy Informer: "Here at Strategy Informer, we locked ourselves away in the underground bunker for days on end, trying to finalize our list of the best PS3 games released this year. Finally we've emerged - so while we go and have a shower and change our clothes, why don't you check out our Game of the Year awards for the PS3 in 2010."
The PlayStation 3 is Sony’s most interesting home console ever, but what’s most interesting of all is trying to nail down the very best games on a console with hundreds of incredible games. Let’s give it a shot.
Sly Thieves in Time
Stay the Party
Portal 2
Dj Hero
Demon’s Souls
God of war Ascension
I've noticed a recent nostalgia for the PS3 and I don't get it for me it's been my least favourite generation to date and I've been gaming since the NES I just feel like the ambition of the developers outweighed the capabilities of the consoles so I remember lots of games running in the lower end of 20fps range and I remember for the first time ever actually disliking the duelshock 3 and it's curved triggers
Sure there were some standouts and great games but that's the only gen I switched entirely to PC gaming
Saddle up your horses, boys. Let's gallop on through this list of the best cowboy games you can play on the PS3.
Adam Vale of The Koalition writes: I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again: If you are a PC gamer, then you’re eating like a king! This is true because so many publishers, such as Sony and Microsoft, have hopped on board the PC express train to Funville.
I love the Steamdeck, it's pretty great, also amazing that we can carry a handheld computer around that can play so many games.
yay sports champion!!!
okay then
Best Multiplayer: Red Dead Redemption. I couldn't agree more.
I spent 13 days of my life in RDR's multiplayer. Free roam and Gang matches. The first free DLC "Outlaws to the end" was a generous gift from Rockstar that added some fun co-op missions and 10 trophies. The competitive multiplayer was a blast too. I bought all the payed DLC as well.
"Legends and Killers" for the new maps and modes, "Liars and Cheats" for the gambling and competitive modes and both came with new playable characters and 10 trophies each except "Undead Nightmare" which had 12 trophies. It was mostly single player but it did and a fun new zombie co-op.
Red Dead Redemption wins both my singleplayer and multiplayer game of the year awards. I spent 300 hours playing Red Dead Redemption. If you haven't bought it yet, you really need to get this game. If you already have RDR but don't own the DLC yet, you should buy Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare DLC disc.It has all 4 Add ons for Red Dead Redemption and comes with a poster, a disc and a case for $30.
I payed $30 for all the DLC each day 1 so I don't get my free case, disc and poster :( but the DLC on that disc is what counts and imo it's worth way more than $30. I made it to level 50 in multiplayer and got the platinum trophy on September 25th. I played it for over 300 hours in the last half of 2010. I have 100% of the trophies in Red Dead Redemption which is not something a whole lot of people can say. Even without the Multiplayer, Single player alone was GOTY. RDR is my favorite game of this generation and If you don't think it is a 10 out of 10, you are mistaken.
RDR has the fun factor GTA4 should have had. Such an awesome game.
