XMNR: Alan Wake doesn't exactly fit in with the theme of Christmas but gamers won't mind as Microsoft has discounted DLC for the psychological thriller as part of their Countdown to New Year's Eve promotion.

Not bad at all, if only I played my xbox more I'd go out and buy a card for sure. Alan Wake got me addicted to my 360 again for about a week or two.

kissmeimgreek3043d ago

Not bad for a single player game with no multiplayer if you ask me!

Same for me, I love this game and the DLC is most definitely worth it at that price ( i wasnt complaining when it was more though!)

Kran3043d ago

@kissmeimgreek

does every game need multiplayer?! :/

kissmeimgreek3043d ago

Not what I was saying at all. I was just saying how cool it was that a single player kept him entertained for weeks, as it did for me. If anything, alot of games dont need multiplayer if their replayable and entertaining.

I just bought the 2 DLC's today. 400 points for both of them. Not a bad deal.

ComboBreaker3043d ago (Edited 3043d ago )

Come on, 360 gamers. Show some support for Alan Wake please. Why aren't anybody buying it?

Zoomer763043d ago

[email protected] I meant to hit agree, bloody iPhone!! This game deserved so much more attention than it got. One of the most atmospheric games I've ever played and 200 point per episode is a steel.

Who'd want to buy corrupted data?

Seriously, both DLC have been corrupted for God knows how long now. Remedy better get their shit together and fix them.

Have you tried re-downloading the episodes after deleting them from your HDD?

Charlie26883043d ago

Strange, I have literally just finished downloading both of them and they seem to be working just fine :S

Grodd3043d ago

I don't know what your talking about, they play just fine. I would strongly recommend them.
A strong addition to one of the best games this year.

The five 5 people that own this game are like "meh"

AwesomeJizz3043d ago (Edited 3043d ago )

This one person is reading your comment and he's like "meh he's useless"

Uh Alan Wake didn't sell too well initially but by word of mouth it has around ~1 million sales according to some estimates. The game was not only released on Games on Demand on the Xbox 360, but the ending of the last DLC heavily hints at a sequel.

The game actually did alright with sales and it looks like the IP is here to stick around.

ComboBreaker3043d ago

and your sales estimates. LOL.

SlipperyMooseCakes3043d ago (Edited 3043d ago )

Im really not trying to brag about sales, I could care less really which game sold more than the other. I'm just simply trying to point out that the game really didn't do that bad at all and it's likely we're going to see more Alan Wake in the future.

Not sure what you mean by "you guys". Alan Wake is a pretty good game I recommend you check out if you can.

ComboBreaker3043d ago

but the problem is that 360 gamers doesn't think it's a good game, that's why it haven't receive the sales it deserve.

SlipperyMooseCakes3043d ago

I'm a 360 gamer and I think it's a good game :(

I don't think they necessarily think it is a bad game, it just doesn't fit the taste of a big portion of the 360's audience. I had one other friend play it and he likes it as well. It's just shame that most games have to have some co-op or multiplayer element to be successful now days.

But things are looking good for Alan Wake 2 so :)
