2011: The Year I Truly Appreciate Owning a PS3 Instead of a 360

"Well, 2011 is almost here, and at this juncture, the PlayStation’s upcoming lineup not only looks healthy, but looks damned fine, especially compared to the Xbox 360′s confusing lack of any real lineup whatsoever. I’d hate to fuel any petty fanboy flames, but from this vantage point, 2011 looks to be the year of the PlayStation 3, easily."

360 is turning in to the casual kinect gaming machine

Kinect really changed the direction of where the 360 was going. They seem to be trying to compete and grab the Wii audience while alienating their hardcore fans. Sony seems to be embracing the hardcore fans for 2011.

It's not even a fanboy debate at all. The points he makes are very valid; the PS3 has a lot of high quality exclusive games coming out next year. As an owner of an XBox 360 without a PS3, I can't even back up Microsoft on this one and I can't help but be a jealous looking across the pond.

maybe you should get a ps3 i am sure they got great deals out there

plus im sure that after this they will drop the price of the ps3 soon.

though thinking about it now makes me wonder whether any of these things i link to you are somehow related to one another.

I own both systems, but I honestly play my 360 about 10% of the time and the PS3 90% of the time these days. Just depends on what games in my realm of interest are out on what systems.

The article didn't even mention all the niche titles coming exclusively to the PS3 next year, like Ar Tonelico Qoga and Hyperdimension Neptunia, or even the possible 2011 release of Final Fantasy Versus XIII, which are more pros to owning the system.

Since 2009 I have been happy with my PS3.
