Gears of War 3 beta to kick off around April

XMNR: When Epic Games announced that the Gears of War 3 beta would be included with the purchase of Bulletstorm for the Xbox 360, they forgot to mention when the beta might occur. Now we have the timetable narrowed down to the month of April.

Actually the release of the game is in Q4 of 2011. As for the beta, I'm guessing they don't have an exact date nailed down yet.

Your "exact" release dates are always getting pushed around, GT5 had about 3 different "exact" release dates and LBP2, has a tight approximate date and also got pushed back.

I'd rather developers give no date then get my hopes up with a fake one.

do you know how huge a public beta is yet alone a public beta for an IP like Gears of War in the Xbox LIVE community? They do not give definitive dates unless they are certain the servers and every other technical aspect are good to go because when you delay something, fans get pissed and that's the last thing developers/publishers want.

That's why Microsoft didn't announce when the new dashboard was coming this year until literally the week of.

I am looking forward to Uncharted 3, Mass Effect 3 and The Last Guardian with major anticipation, but I am also really looking forward to Gears of War 3. I bet they will all be good games. And what are you talking about Gears/CoD not standing a chance against U3/TLG/ES:S/ME:3? Only one of those games is even remotely close to being anything like Gears 3 and none of them are like CoD. Plus both Gears and CoD sell better and their predesessors are either rated better or the same then all those games.

I'm begining to think your comment was just an excuse to list the PS3's "almighty" 2011 line-up again.

I'd have thought you, of anyone, would be hoping MS and Epic do the decent thing and release the third installment day and date on PC as well as 360. Starting the trilogy on PC then having it taken away to push 360 sales was a tight move and now it's over why can't we, who started Gears on PC have two and three in one package? They nearly put it all right with Fable(even if they never allowed a PC version of F2 no matter how late) so why not Gears?

Don't get me wrong Gears3 will be the game which sees me pay for a month of two of Live(the only game at that)but I'd much rather it reappeared on PC where I began the trilogy as it just seems unfair.
