The current console generation has brought game systems major strides closer to becoming living room "hubs", letting users interact with all kinds of media from streaming music to video rentals and Blu-ray discs. But while PlayStation 3 users spend a bigger share of their time on the system on multimedia, Xbox 360 users play online games more.
Just like you don’t ask a woman her age, you don’t ask a Final Fantasy fan how many games there are in total.
Game Rant interviews Plants vs. Zombies composer Peter McConnell about honoring the series’ quirky roots, adapting its themes, and now going vinyl.
The score for the first Plants Vs Zombies is such great, iconic music that it has a timeless quality. Not quite the level of Minecraft, but wonderful in its own right.
Celebrate Final Fantasy IX's 25th anniversary with the latest merchandise, including figurines of Zidane and Vivi, and a range of t-shirts.
From my own experience, I own both an XBox 360 and a PS3 and use my PS3 for Blu ray movies and content streaming and buy a number of multiplatform games on the XBox 360 simply because I have more friends on that console who play the same time I do and communicate. If that's the case for many, that would explain the findings. I suppose it probably is.
Seems about right. It's obvious that the PS3 is going to have a higher movie watching percentage because of blu-ray. And It's obvious that more people are going to play online on 360 because they have to pay for that privilege and want to get their moneys worth.
for this survey... I mean they never asked me. All I do is play games on my PS3 & watch a [vg] trailer every now & again - I don't watch a lot of movies or dumb TV shows...plus most of my online friends are always playing games as well & there are a lot of them. Wii online players outpacing PS3 users..? Sounds like a bit of a whopper really.
Yeah I'm a bit skeptical about these findings as a realistic snapshot.
When i see the graphics, i can't say 360 or ps3 win anything above the other. Almost tie everywhere. Only the wii is losing the battles for online games & listening music. And amusing fact, ps3 is ahead when we talk about social networking. XD
Anyone remember this headline: "Pachter: Netflix on Wii won't matter as much as on other consoles"
Looks like he got another one wrong.
These numbers really don't surprise me. The 360's top 10 games are mostly FPS's that are made for online play. The PS3 has a healthy mix of both online and offline focused games. And the Wii has few games worth playing online.
