Oblivion V: Your Guide To The Region Of Skyrim - (GameBlurb)

GameBlurb writes: When Bethesda came out to make the announcement for the next Elder Scrolls game, I couldn’t help myself from bursting out with excitement. Other than a CGI trailer it seems like there is little we know about Skyrim. Not so fast! There’s enough lore about Skyrim for you to feed yourself on and you can even find it in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

Wow, didn't know there was already so much lore to the game.

poopface14881d ago

Dont they need oblivion 2-4 first LOL.

Elderscrolls V.

MicrocutsX24881d ago

LOL for some reason the submitter changed the title. Just realized...it's supposed to be Elder Scrolls V. Oh wells, still a good read.

ultramoot4881d ago

Exactly. Amateur mistake on the editor's part.

MicrocutsX24881d ago

@ultramoot

Agree, but I guess we should give this submitter a slack. No one reported him and it is his first news post. Congrats! Welcome to N4G and thanks for that good read.

Is that the size of the map for Skyrim? It looks so tiny compared to cyrodil

IaMs124881d ago

Does look smaller but since it is a game, they can technically make it bigger just make a mile in game a lot longer :)

mhm the lore is how you make an amazing story line history about everything is key or it will fall apart

every province in Tamriel has history and current events going on even the ones they didn't make a game on

in oblivion there were a couple of people that talked about what was going on in Morrowin after the events of ES3

tacosRcool4881d ago

Let's hope we can play some of the other territories since Skyrim isn't as big as Cyridol

emekcrash4881d ago

According to Oblivion, Skingrad has only 17 houses. Nothing is true to its own size in TES games (Land-wise) becausen of the gameplay limitations. Skyrim could be x2 bigger than Cyrodiil.

liquidxtension4881d ago

God dammit. This only gets me even more excited.

I am just glad that they are finally abandoning gamebryo!

jaidek4881d ago

ditto, hopefully with the internally built engine they will have better performance. fingers crossed.

femshep4881d ago

i think they should if they haven't made one they haven't released but make a game that tests new engine make sure it doesn't bug out on them....ill cry if it turns into new vegas

Deleting4881d ago

From looking at the map it dosen't look that big as cyrodil and I hope it's not just snow :/

MicrocutsX24881d ago

Morrowind was smaller than Oblivion but it felt just as big to be honest. I think they'll be able to do the same here. And I think the flat lands well have more tundra like vegetation according to the article.

emekcrash4881d ago

That's a common mistake many people make: Nords? Vigings? North? That means only moutains and snow then. That's wrong considering that some images of Skyrim that came from the developers themselves (Really old images from like 10 years ago), show big fields of grass. Books in Oblivion speak of Skyrim farmers and big crop fields. I wouldn't worry much.

Game should be a blast, really excited about the new engine
