If MS can't find a suitable character for MK, and they are going to use a multiplat character, they might as well pick a someone more suitable, like Alex Mercer or maybe Ezio. Nothing about Price says MK. Mortal Kombat always had a bit of fantasy in it. The character has to fit in the world.

Kratos fits so perfectly. I would also like to see Cole in MK. Maybe they'll have many Sony characters in it since DLC is a big deal this gen.

but it seems that everyone has forgotten about Stryker from MK3 and UltMK3. He was a cop/security officer; he used a baton, grenades and even had a semi automatic pistol.

Marcus, Cole, or etc could easily fit into MK games if characters such as cyrax, jax, styker, or even sektor made it. (note: each of these guys had a projectile ballistic weapon/move. But that doesn't have to be a requirement). #40

Lightsaber-why are you assuming people, no matter what console they like, didn't read the article? Fact bis, even if the 360 version includes Price he won't face up against Kratos who'd only ever be on the Sony version anyway.

The other point is that of the Gears characters only really one of the Bosses on the Locust side, pref Raam in this case for me as he's most MK to my mind, even though even he barely fits the bill. Price is just a mortal bloke who releis on SAS training and guns-he ain't no MKer.

Also, if they want to put an exclusive character for the 360 version of the game, why not use RAAM. I mean, we all definitely need more RAAM. Sure, he ain't much of a speaker, and we only saw him in one game, and most people probably wouldn't know who he is, but RAAM had a sword, a big one too. He also controls bats from another world that fear the light.

Hell, if they really can't find anyone, why not use Spawn again, sure, just like with SC2, the Xbox version wouldn't be the best one (that was the GC version), but it's better than nothing...

But yeah, RAAM should be in there.

And, as for adding characters from other games in MK, I guess they took notice from games like Soul Calibur, and also because the new characters they tried to put in the latest MK releases were rather unimpressive for the most part.

Did you read the article? I'm guessing you didn't from your comment. The only unrelated character is Kratos. The others from COD and Gears, despite the stories misleading title, have not been confirmed to be in the game.

I also don't think they will, I don't see any XBOX characters being added simply because there are no popular ones that fit, and i don't see why they wouldn't have announced them already if they did. Based on my past guesses on stuff like this, my guesses are usually right.

Kratos actually fits in with the Mortal Kombat style and universe, just like how Namco put Tekken 6's Lars in that recent Naruto game.

Captain Price however, is a fucking joke. First off he's not even a "Microsoft character", so why would he be in? What the hell would he do, spray his M4 all over the place? Jax and Stryker both have guns and they were balanced as hell, but mostly useless. The article was also pretty stupid. Why in the hell would Price yell "GRANADA" when he's fucking British?

I also don't see Marcus Fenix fitting in too much, but I see him being in more so than Price. At least he's a real Microsoft-only character. Besides - they already put a female Spartan in DOA4, so why not continue this cross-game character stuff?

Out dated gameplay that hasn't changed since it's inception and poorly developed characters that became even less important when they decided to hollywood the whole thing up. If it's supposed to be a reboot of the series and go back to it's roots then there shouldn't be any guest characters at all, because the second Kratos was announced it wasn't about Mortal Kombat anymore, it became about Kratos and who they would add for the 360 version.

Kratos was already in that Soulcaliber game, enough already.

Sony Exclusive: Cole McGrath OR Kratos
360 Exclusive: the only iconic Character I can think of is Master Chief, mostly because I don't have a 360... If you want to go multiplat, Ezio Auditore could work. Or Alex Mercer.
