Game Pro: Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, the fourth game in the Oddworld series, is soon set to see new life on digital platforms. In this week's episode of The Bargain Bin, we take a look back at this quirky and critically acclaimed action-adventure's initial Xbox debut.
17 years after its initial release, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath has returned -- and has never been better than this.
If you missed the news, Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath is out now on the Switch via the Nintendo eShop. But there’s a physical edition that is now available for pre-order at Amazon.
As one of the last major releases for the original Xbox, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath is also one of the most memorable games on the system, taking the series to new places with a cross between third-person platforming and first-person shooting. With its unique weapons system, open-ended mission design and fascinating story, it's a game that always felt special and still holds up today - and it's recently received an impressive Switch conversion.
I love the unverse of Oddworld. The two xbox games were good, but the original two on PS1/PC are still my favorite games of all time. I dare anyone to play them today and not say that these visuals are still some of the most beautiful ever seen. I still would take classic Oddworld over any AAA game today. And I can't name any game that looks better on the original Playstation. It is the best looking game on the ol' PS One.
Is there a release date for the PSN-HD remake of Stranger's Wrath? I also agree that the first two on PS1 were amazing......have them both on my GO :)
