GameStooge's own Jordan Lund gives his analysis and take on the November 2010 NPD.
Excerpt: "In one month, Black Ops sold 8.4 million units. 1 in every 4 games sold was Black Ops. It’s now ranked #7 on the list of best selling games of all time… in ONE MONTH. To give you some idea, Modern Warfare 2 had the biggest launch of all time when it came out and it sold about 1/2 of what Black Ops had, though it’ll be interesting to see if Black Ops has the same staying power as MW2.
Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood – the third (the fourth if you count the PSP version) ranks at a respectable #2. The resurrected Donkey Kong Country jumps in at #6. Racing competitors Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit and the long awaited Gran Turismo 5 were neck and neck at numbers 7 and 8, though one must account for the fact that Gran Turismo was released on November 24, giving it only a week’s worth of release data."
