IGN: 2010's Most Memorable Gaming Moments

2010's been a memorable year. There's been disappointments galore, from Final Fantasy XIII and Gran Turismo 5's collective failures to live up to expectations to the broken promises of Fable III, but they've been counterbalanced by the surprises - unheralded gems such as Game Dev Story or Pac-Man Championship Edition DX and unexpected treats such as Vanquish or Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

I'd have the riding home to your family bit over crossing the border.

They are both great moments, I loved the song that was played as you were going into mexico, it felt like it worked with it really well.

And racing back to town to see your family was a really cool moment with a good bit of music

"when Final Fantasy XIII unshackled its players it was intoxicating. Gran Pulse, the verdant wilderness that greeted Lightning, Hope and co as they emerged from a headlong run through the corridor of Cocoon, was everything that we were hoping Final Fantasy's debut on HD consoles would be. "

Really ? An empty valley with so-called "secondary quests" which were really just a bunch of almost identical "go there kill that random monster" quests is definitely not what I was hoping for... I even stopped playing a few hours after reaching grand pulse. I actually thought the corridors were better, while the role playing elements were just as inexistant, at least it felt like the story was progressing.
