Capcom adds mediocre women to Marvel Vs Capcom 3

Why would Capcom add these 2? Storm is just there to be annoying and juggle you, and C. Viper wasn't even popular in SF4!

I've seen people throwing that a lot on N4G recently. However its mostly the 12 year old preteens whose balls haven't descended that do such stuff.. But I could easily do without C. Viper. Haven't been a fan of hers in SF4 or SSF4. Cammy, Sakura or Ibuki would be a better fit than C. Vipers lame ass. And I hope that screen blur effect on her flame kicks is just temp.

If the game was unplayable then Marvel 2 wouldnt of held 2d fighting games on its back for the last 10 years.

Edit: correct, And really in Marvel there are so many ways of getting out of juggles, like using assists and the new x-factor moves that there is no excuse, although everyone knows from MvC2 that the whole idea is to avoid getting juggled in the first place. Kids these days just want to pick up a controller and be awesome....thats not how fighting games roll .

And yes Tekken has gone to shit, bound combos that carry you to a wall to be comboed again is just stupid.

well for current comics fans , X-23 is hardly obscure .
Hell her first appeareance was even in the back then extremely popular X-men Evolution cartoon .

She has grown into a new addition to the xmen roster , and like deadpool , is rapidly growing in popularity .

She Hulk ? If she was in MVC1 and 2 , no one would be complaining at all .
She's got her own series various times , hell still currently does . Her series while not alays best sellers are always credited with excellent writing and praises ...
Actually her spot seems far more coherent than some like shuma gorrath or a few background support characters of mvc2 ...

I'l grant you modok and skrull arent really popular even if recurrent chars . But its pretty clear Skrull is there to subs for the fantastic four wich marvel clearly refused . At least both seems really different in playstyle

Anyway bottom line is , the game isnt entirely about giving you back some roster from marvel of the 90s ...
It's also about keeping in touch with newer events and rising star in the marvel world (and i guess capcom too) .

Yeah these girls are mediocre...I mean Storm is only the co-leader of the X-Men after Cyclops and practically used by all of the elite MvsC2 players. /end sarcasm

C. Viper is good, but also takes an expert SF4 player to show what she can do since she takes alot of damage and doesn't dish it out that good if you don't combo into special moves. Kaqn (the godly Ragna in Blazblue) is pretty good with her, but both of them aren't mediocre if you know how to use them the right way. Some people need to do their homework on some fighters before they flop them...seriously

People don't use Viper cause she's one of the more technical characters, not because they don't like her. As far as her character design goes she's one of my favourites. I just don't much like her playstyle so I stick to Fei long and Adon.

Storm is a must have though. Goes hand in hand with Wolverine when it comes to the X-Men side. Maybe a bit high tier in MVC2 but it's stupid to suggest it'll be the same here without seeing how things play out.

Basically the whole roster of this game is Mediocre.

At least, a far cry from the awesome that was MvC2.

I think Arthur, Dante, Haggar, and viewtiful joe are the only characters I actually care about on CAPCOM's side(besides the returning favorites) and Storm, Wolverine, and Spiderman on Marvel's side.

I don't know why they just couldn't take the roster from the last game, make sure ALL those characters where in first THEN put all these garbage characters in afterward.

Fuck all that, "We wanted to find characters that fit the art style" bullshit.

And while I'm at it, this fuckin art style for this game is garbage too...talkin about it has a "serious" tone. It looks like they all fightin in a room with the lights off. How can the majority of all the stages be at NIGHT!?

I saw the first stage, I was like yay cool, a night stage...then another night stage, then a dark dungeon, then a dark laboratory, then a dark sewer. Im like c'mon dude. Really?

I think I've seen like 2 day time stages. The Thor stage and the New York stage.

Unless they have more than 7 stages(MvC2) we're in for a lot of night battling and dark, saturated colors.

I don't know what kind of comic books CAPCOM has been reading but they don't look anything as boring(visually) as this game.

Marvel's comics are bright and colorful, much like CAPCOM's old games and MvC2.

I just don't understand why this game couldn't be like TvC on the wii. It had a large roster of great characters from both sides, while this one...well, casual gamers will love it.

it's almost as if capcom is setting ppl up for DLC. EA was lame for charging for extra boxers. Be prepared for $1.99 for new characters.
