I'm pretty sure they are saying they sold 1.4 in 6 months.

"With a total of 1.4 million consoles sold within six months"

*Edit - maybe it is true, they predicted about 1 million. That just seems nuts!

siyrobbo2870d ago

no thats not right at all, what he said was the 360 has been the number 1 console for 6 months in a row, 1.4 million this month selling more than wii and ps3 (tho we have no idea by how much yet)

ArtsyGamer2870d ago (Edited 2870d ago )

So they sold about 300,000 in October and 1.4 million in November? If that is true, that is quite remarkable.

*Edit - not sure how people are disagreeing with this...NPD numbers are 325k in October a little over 3 million total for the year. That means they sold about 5 months worth of consoles in one month.

*Edit 2 - I guess people are disagreeing that it's remarkable?

Doesn't the Wii still have the biggest market share even in the US?

And isn't install base more important than hardware sales? Don’t you guys find it strange no 3rd party publisher is interested in this "increase"? its only AG talking it up.

greenberg gives the haters nightmares lol

Why would so many people buy it? That's what I want to know. Just because it's cheap? Because of Live? I'm not trying to troll (classic line, I know), I'm honestly curious. Is it because they're aiming at a more casual audience now? It seems like people interested in games would be moving toward the PS3's 2011 lineup instead.

I love that pic. see what those circles are doing? spinnnning! just like he is! always bragging about US sales only while ignoring the rest of the world, where the statements he makes are nowhere near true.

I can see the day ps3 passes up 360 in total worldwide sales...

"Aaron Greenburg: "NPD results prove 360 maintains a strong lead over PS3."

HolyOrangeCows2869d ago (Edited 2869d ago )

Trolling?! For what?

Pointing out that it seems odd for a company to use third party stats?
Mentioning that there are major inconsistencies in their sales records?

Ridiculous. It's completely related to the story and a good point.
Someone is too sensitive or else someone is too mod happy.

i knw right 1.4 million in 1 FREAKIN MONTH..WOW! they just schooled sony

madjedi2869d ago (Edited 2869d ago )

Considering nintendo has been schooling ms and sony on sales for about 4 yrs that really isn't saying much is it.

So how many 360 exclusives are you looking forward to this yr, ms can "school" sony on sales in only 1 continent anytime.

I like it better that sony is raping the 360 when comes to the number of exclusives this yr and the yr after that one ect.

But hey you enjoy those sales and gears and halo(maybe) and rare kinect avatar clothes, i'll enjoy a nice variety of games in 2011.

Glad you are happy. The only problem as I see it is; the Xbox 360 has no good exclusive games.

Damn those are crazy numbers, Kinect truly is a system seller just wait till a 360 with Kinect reaches the magic $199 mark there will be chaos.

Hopefully MS can ship enough 360s for December, they seems to be constantly selling out in the US.
