Who you callin’ “Nancy Boy”?

If you’ve read many of my previous reviews, you should know that I’m a big fan of adventure games. Whether it’s titles that put a new twist on the genre (like Zak & Wiki on the Wii) or releases such as Telltale Games’ episodic Sam and Max which stay faithful to the classic adventure formula, I typically enjoy them all. Another series to grab my favor in recent years are the Professor Layton games which combine an adventure story-line with an abundance of brain teasers and logic puzzles. Thus, I was actually quite happy when I started playing Nancy Drew: Shadow At The Water’s Edge and found that it contained not only plenty of classic adventure elements, but also a healthy smattering of Layton-esque mindbenders.
