MMNG: After the backing of an R18+ rating for games in Australia by the Gillard Government, a number of varying opinions have arisen as to why we absolutely must or must not introduce the adults only rating. I fully support arguments that adults shouldn’t be restricted to content that has to be appropriate for 15-year-olds, but there’s a much bigger issue at hand. Parents struggle to understand the current classification system. Without an R18+ rating, there’s nothing they easily identify as inappropriate for their children.
