GTPlanet: In an interview with Red Bull’s own “Play!” video magazine, Kazunori Yamauchi talks about Gran Turismo 5 and a bit about his future.
mark those words guys... mark those words. i'm also just starting. just hit level 16 after tweaking and learning lots of ropes - like how to customise... and what cars to customise. Nissan Skyline is probably the best car to ever upgrade...and HP is not everything. OT: this is old video.. i saw it like more than a week back!
I've fully kitted out my Honda Civic EK 97 haha Amazing games i tell you, Sometime i feel like its a Racing RPG Simulator haha, I just wanna improve my car and rinse out all the money i've earned! Am level 13 at the moment still in the amateur league, Been doing a lot of licences, Its damn Intense and fun
Yeah the skyline is the best tuner car there, i have mine around 650 BHP and i leave those guys well behind it goes well on the curves...
Of course they are, of course...
I`m a level 23 and this game just keeps getting better. and the Skyline is nice. But the best/my favorite cars is the Ferrari Italia 458, It`s control/handling is off the chart. It`s the perfect combination of HP, weight and RPMs. Seriously if you don`t have one, buy one. @killzoned Yes, GT5 is completely an RPG. RPR (RolePlayingRacer)
@killzoned: lol.. talk about improving and getting broke. i've been broke thrice by just upgrading and buying cars. i do admit i bought one wrong car and upgraded it and upgraded another wrong car. i'm sticking with Skyline for now... until i can buy a really fast and powerful one.
Yes, Kaz is my God too.
Skyline is great...for driving in straight lines. You will get annihilated by MR cars in the corners. My tiny Lotus would rip any skyline to shreds on a circuit with a fraction of the HP
Now all those reviewers will have to re-review the game because everything they complain about will be nullfied. OH NO!! /s
I am not going to go on a tirade but I feel your frustration. It frustrates me as well. Developers like PD are not giving the patience they deserve for full and thorough reviews yet yearly games, most of them having serious issues, get reviews with big numbers thrown out like it's candy and meaningless. We all know why these dev and publishers get those reviews. They are usually the highest "marketed" games with big advertising budgets. I have logged about 50-60 hours into this game (GT5) and I am still learning what this game has to offer. From a technical stand point I am over 60% done the games events but I only own 50 cars and I have a ton to learn and yet to discover. I'm not even sure I could pull off gold in every event but I am going to try. That is where the longevity will really kick in.
WAIT SO GT5 STILL ISN'T OUT YET?!
GT5 is out already, with tons and tons of contenst. But that's not all. It's just the beginning and new contents and updates are being add to it continuously, and for free. No other game and game company would do something so awesome like that.
"just getting started" True, only 7 more years until Gran Turismo 6. 2000+ cars, of which 1700 are the equivalent of Forza 2 models. Don't forget to add the option to change the wheels, Kaz.
Wow. A car being built SPECIFICALLY for Gran Turismo 5 and being developed by Kazunori Yamauchi and the RED BULL TEAM! That's how you know Gran Turismo is the most popular franchise WORLDWIDE
I don't have the X1 yet, but I bet it's going to be hell trying to get close to that guy's insane lap time, especially considering who set the previous record and how badly he crushed it.
What does he mean by this??hmmmmm
Well by Ceekay avatar alot of good sh!t......
After six years, we're just getting started.
GT5 may be released but it's not done. It's great as it is, but it also has flaws you'll discover the more you play the game. They should keep the patches coming and at least try to complete the game this way.
I hope they add an option to use weather effects and day to night transitions in other tracks. Also, I hope they turn more cars to premium.
Love the game, couldn't be more happy. I think they will release most of the standard cars as premiums on psn. DLC premium car packs. I just hope they aren't over priced. Because no matter how much they are I'm gonna want them, just hope they take it easy on us lol
This is why no other game comes close. Only a real life racer would tell u this is close to realism as u can get & look at him smash the record time. I bet this guy aint even a hardcore gamer but because he is a professional racer & gt5 is the best racing sim out there on any console that comes close to real life, he was able to showcase that realism with his racing skills in real life by smashing the record time. GT5 FTW.
My favorite car atm is the 1970 Chevy SS with 845hp. The car is absolutely rediculous and I'm sure there may be better cars to drive than this but it is just pure pleasure. 0-100 only the X-1 can touch it. ...well so far. lol.
You know, It's crazy, this game isn't compared to other games...It's compared to real life.lmao
@TheHardware So true gt5 is world wide respected racing sim.
Things are just getting started... after 6 years.
Meanwhile, after all these years, 360 gamers still only have Forza 3, an unrealistic arcade racer with very few cars.
Didja see those peddles on the cockpit, DO WANT!!!
