IGN: Game of the Month - November 2010

Each and every November, people start talking about turkey, cranberries and how they're excited to see their families. That's fine, but while folks were being sloths on their sofas, November was stuffed with some truly awesome games.

Going to buy the Sly collection Friday. Can't wait. As for the GT5 ouch thing, game seems to be doing pretty well, so who is really the one hurting?

GT5 is the fifth iteration of the same game as is Halo Reach. There comes a time when a game gets boring, regardless of the greatness of the first iteration.

I actually very much enjoyed Halo Reach, after really disliking Halo 2 resulting in no real interest for Halo 3 or ODST

GT5 is great also imo. But hey, there's no real wrong opinon if that's how you feel yourself.

@ Karum you hated halo 2, because you probably wasn't a xbl subscriber at the time.

i will admit that halo 2 single player was a bit of a let down (compared to halo1)but the online was so fucking great,it didn't even matter.

But with Halo you always get superb reviews for the same old things. I didn't see why that GT5 wouldn't get superb ratings like Halo. GT5 is an awesome game no matter what the reviewers are saying after their several hours of game time

True, but there is a MASSIVE difference between GT1-4 and GT5, only one of them is on the PS3. So... after playing GT5 since release, i dont find it boring at all.

Idk y but I smell something fishy here. Every ps3 exclusive ign has reviewed this year has been lower than the average metacritic score of that game except for modnation racers and heavy rain, while for xbox 360 every game reviewed by ign is higher than the metacritic score of that game, every single exclusive.

I can't help but feel a little ill when I hear someone throw in 'biased review scores' and metacritic into an argument.

When you're looking at a review score and debating that its a few decimals from another score, something is seriously wrong. Look at God of War, for example. Lets say its a 9. What does that tell you, that its good? No one seems to question 'why' its good, just "ITS A 9". God, some people even bitched because it wasn't a perfect 10. Why follow review scores so closely when you should be building your own opinions, and noticing the good and bad yourself when playing these games.

But I digress. I was expecting to see AC Brotherhood, but ah well!

Wow hot pursuit only on Pc/360??? WTH! if anything the Ps3 is what shows this games true HD glory. Plus GT5 dominates any game ever created!!!!!!!!! man If only Resistance 3 or killzone 3 were released this month then they would dominate blackops or ANY game for that matter. No one can challenge the epic textures on kz3

For me GOTM for November had to be GT5 with Hot Pursuit sliding in at number 2. Love both games.

December has just started and I'm not sure what is released this month but even on Day 1, I'm calling Dead Nation GOTM for December. It's a PSN game but it's just so awesome. Best PSN game since Shatter.

Most definitely. Although the only new games I played in November were AC Brotherhood and Fable. Don't have my games with me here at college, so I binge-game when I go home for a weekend or vacation.

Honestly, how could they pick Sly over GT5? I have both, never played Sly before, and LOVE them to death from what I have played but GT5 is just better and despite having 3 games in the collection, GT5 will keep you occupied longer.
