Out off all the movies listed only 2 I would want to own. The rest are just rentals. The only ones that I would buy: Monty Python's Life of Brian, A Clockwork Orange
...because X360 has DVD. So it is also gaming related.
Since Sony is backing Blu-ray so strongly and blu-ray plays a big role behind the PlayStation 3 this should be news worthy. Many PlayStation 3 owners like to go out and buy blu-ray movies. This list is fun cause it help to show what are some great titles coming out. It would be similar if it were a HD-DVD list for Xbox 360...however since the HD-DVD is just an add-on it would not be as relevant as a Blu-ray news article.
hmm you got a point there.. ps3 can play bluray.. AND DVD.. wowee. what a machine
I cant see the list but Die Hard better be in there
If you can't read it the movies are as follows: Action: Die Hard 4 Family: Ratatouille Comedy: Monty Python's Life of Brian Cult Classic: Edward Scissorhands Horror: 28 Days Later
Cool, Thanks for that
I want to see all DVD news in the 360 and PS3 GAMING sections, and go ahead and add all HD DVD news to the 360 thread as well. That way we can all play "Where's Waldo" trying to look for the actual GAMING news. Why is this in the PS3 section again? Edit: @Baba1906 Because this site is run by gamers for the most part, including myself. We submit news ourselves and our peers approve or deny our submissions. We are supposed to police each other and tell each other where we made a mistake in our submissions, and correct that mistake. This is the role of a contributor. Unfortunatly many contributors on this site bend the rules, like Jpinter, the contributor of this article. You just joined this site, apparently, so I hope I explained it to the best of my ability.
how sad lol =D . how much do u really really really care where this news is. Just let it be.
This is news. Why? Because PS3 owners actually buy Blu-ray movies for their PS3. Do you buy DVD movies to play on your Xbox 360? Yeah though so. Moving on...
can play DVD's and we all know everyone buys DVDs, where are the TOP DVD Articles? eh.. You see how irrelavent this is... personal agendas and Bias contributing on here is top notch...
hmm.. you see that thing there at the top... you know.. the topic of the article... maybe you should read it.. realize its not something you want to hear or read about, and move right along... instead of coming in here and whining like a child. Freedom of choice man.. choose not to read articles that you don't want to know about...easy peasy
Umm where is Harry Potter?
is in hogwarts xD
I'm wondering how 300 didn't make the cut.
when you dont like the article then dont read it. at least its not a bs article generated by some random xbot. the interesting thing is, xbots say this is no news, but on the other side they post all the time bs, and call it news ? where is the logic ?
I saw alot of people say this shouldn't be in the PS3 Gaming thread. This is a Tech only article.
Blu Ray is having some more Kubrick titles. It seems that Sony is trying to attract classic fans. Which is a good thing.
It's more an issue of studio decision (rather than Sony vs. Toshiba) on what to release. Besides, the Kubrick films are coming out in both HD formats.
Ah, yes. Didn't notece that. But anyway it will be great to see Clockwork Orange and Full Metal Jacked on a 42" TV (as soon as I get one). Oh, and btw, I stumbled upon a must buy: http://www.dvdtown.com/news...
Regarding, FMJ, you can already buy it, but there seem to be mixed reviews on how good of a transfer it was to the HD formats. If I recall correctly, this re-release is meant in-part as a response to complaints about the previous run.
