The Future of Call of Duty

It used to be easy to predict Call of Duty. Infinity Ward and Treyarch would simply alternate games -- allowing each other a two year development cycle. Then Infinity Ward had to set one of their games in the modern day. And then there was that whole shakeup with Infinity Ward, along with Activision opening up Sledgehammer Games (a new studio founded by former EA executives Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey, who were both involved with Dead Space). With Call of Duty: Black Ops' certified success, and the continued idea of annual COD installments, you now have three distinct studios each working on their own take on COD. Let's see if we can figure out what the next three years are going to look like for COD.
