A new strategy game from a little-known European developer has received strong reviews and is selling well despite an almost non-existent marketing effort.
Legends of War: Patton's Campaign is receiving accolades from both gamers and press after its first month in the European PlayStation Store.
Sony writes:
Heads-up PS Plus members - Legends of War: Patton's Campaign (PSP) was mistakenly included in January's Monthly Games.
It has now been replaced with History: Legends of War (PS Vita). Download now.
TPS: While I wish this was a more robust use of the "Patton franchise", I do applaud the folks at Enigma for putting a prosumer-level strategy game onto the PSP. The simple gameplay makes it accessible to even the greenest of armchair generals, but the historical accuracies give it a bit of meat for all but the saltiest of grognards.
Extreme Gamer - Despite its popularity on PC’s the world over, the turn-based strategy genre has never been kind to the PSP. Heck, it’s been nearly 5 years since the good-but-not-great 'Field Commander' graced Sony’s portable. Spanish developer Enigma Software Productions is out to right this wrong.
Might just download this to see if it is good
