Do not buy the black ops controller. It's so trash. I returned it the day I got it!

I really don't see the need for those kinds of novelty controllers either.

I did one thing yesterday that I planned to do for Xmas. Bought a 500 GB HDD to upgrade from my 40 GB.

But I need help. Is there no way to transfer my game data/protected saves, themes, gameshared content, etc?

Sad to hear it. Although I wouldn't touch that demon brand all over it (LOL... joking) the shape definetelly looks better than current DS3 IMO, as I wanted something smoother and bigger for quite some time now (DS3 isn't bad, but I would like to try this kind of shape, the 360 controller feels like a better grip to me, but I can't stand the offset analogs and thin shoulder triggers), I could easily let the rubber pads go through, sounds like a bad idea considering all rubbered controllers I already tested wasn't all that great, didn't improve grip (as in, won't save a bad shape design) and make my hands sweat.

I already expected the d-pad to be crap compared to DS3, but is this like a cheap ass controller? Huge dead zone in the analogs (low quality pots), noisy and tall buttons, cutting edges and general bad finishing at the case, not bluetooth (well, this one I know it isn't already)...

Or is this like a flawed gem, like in it have one major flaw you felt it alone was breaking it for you?

If you back up your 40 GB HDD you can transfer your game data and saves to your new HDD. Your themes and everything else you've downloaded will have to be redownloaded through the playstation store. The only way to get back your gameshared content is to log back in to your friends PSN account and download it from there.

Would anyone mind giving me some detailed feedback on the Driving Force GT? Either in a PM or here, whichever. I really want the G27 but its so damn expensive, and I know the DFGT is supposed to be one of the best alternatives.

So who's going to be the first to say "an Xbox". Just thought I'd throw that in there before some troll thought of it.

ergh a madcatz black ops controller. If you give someone one of these they will hate you. Who want's to play a fps or any game for that matter with unbearable lag.

TheLastGuardian3858d ago

I want that DS3 charging pyramid.

eggbert3858d ago

its not really lag, the madcatz controllers just have a ton of dead zone randomly.

I have no idea why, but most third party controllers have a huge dead zone with the analog sticks.

Bass_fisherman3858d ago (Edited 3858d ago )

"Mad Catz Call of Duty: Black Ops PrecisionAim controller" - that thing is kinda sucky its more for advertising cod.

Best third party controler in my opinion for PS3 its the "Power A Pro Ex Controler"

Check this review if your interested - you can get it at gamestop for 30/40 bucks (wireless version usb infrared) and 20 (wired usb plug).

Eiffel3858d ago (Edited 3858d ago )

Really? I always considered the DREAMgear Shadow 6 Wireless controller to be the best third party option for the PS3, it's added SIXAXIS support is a nice addition.

Bass_fisherman3858d ago (Edited 3858d ago )

power A ex pro also as sixaxis support.
ps: i think that review is for mimics only xD (no sound)

Eiffel3858d ago

Yeah I don't get what happened to the video, I watched it before, it had sound. Don't see why it doesn't.

talltony3858d ago

I have heard mixed reviews for the pro ex wirless controller so the controller I will buy is this

It comes out mid december and I have no doubt it will kick ass. I mean just look at it.

Eiffel3858d ago

Dpad doesn't look too good. I don't get the spiked edges on the analog sticks, that would get annoying,

talltony3857d ago

Who cares about the dpad? Thats what the dual shock is for. The spiked joysticks would go unnoticed. These controllers will be 100% bluetooth and have high quality pots in the joysticks. Also you will be able to switch the L2 and L1 buttons and the R1 and R2 buttons to get the perfect controls for games that dont support every control scheme.
