BeefJack: "Importantly, though, they’re small problems in an otherwise enchanting game. This is a bold experiment for Namco, verging on the the kind of work that could be expected of Team ICO. It’s not quite on a par with their efforts, but the development of the relationship between Tepeu and the Majin does evoke strong memories. Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom is an utterly charming game, hampered only by a little residual scrappiness. The games industry is all the better for it."
