Here you can see some gameplay videos of Homefront, an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed by Kaos Studios and published by THQ. It is scheduled to be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Windows on March 8, 2011
Does it remind me of Half-Life 2 ?
They said a lot of inspiration came from Half-Life 2 in the way Valve used absolutely no cutscenes to progress the story.
Well, it does look pretty nice.
This game looks frickin awesome, and the quality looks way way better than CoD: Black Ops.
Call of Duty 4 much?
Why...does this game look so spectacular?
I would love to see how the multiplayer looks. It looks decent but will wait and see.
Hmm, nice footage. Thank you!
I really like clip two. The grenade looked great exploding and it also deafened the ears of the other two who didn't die. Very realistic how he held his head from the concussion. Also, did anyone nitce the Full Throttle vending machine. Product placement..lol.. I which they added more of it. Yeah it's a marketing tool, but personally, real places and products add a sense of immersion that I like.
Looks very awesome.
BOT matches in MP or GTFO.
Get better internet :|
If you want BOT matches, then just join a match.....and there we have a BOT.
looks pretty cool, I'm interested
Way better than I expected.
The animation in those videos looks top notch. Really stands out
I'm looking forward to this game, the single player sounds cool and the multiplayer has potential from what I hear it sounds a little bit like Bad Company on steroids. The AI looks a bit crappy in those vids tho... hopefully that will be better by release! I will definately be keeping my eye on this game and see how it turns out!
WOW..... GUNS HAVE NO RECOIL AT ALL..... Looks like LASER TAG...
Wow, it actually looks good. But something about the game-play seems weird. I can't put my finger on what that is, though...
I think venom's comment about no recoil might be correct
I always was a fan of Frontlines. I have been looking forward for this for a long time now. Good to see the hype and interest going up for this title. What sucks is that again for a game to get recognition or hype it needs to have "teh graphic awesome sauce" i do not care what the game looks like, their first game has wicked audio, massive map, fun multiplayer.
Im interested in the game. 32 player MP got my attention. Im just hoping that it gets the sales!! We all know games like Halo reach or COD are going to get tons of sales so you will never have to worry about empty MP rooms.
It looks more like Half Life than COD. I have no idea why people are comparing it to that.
Any shooter that releases will be judged by CoD players because they think the series is the holy grail of FPSs.
Shooting and animations look a lot like COD. Non-playable sequences are Half-Life-ish.
PC or console footage?
Probably PC. But i don't think that console version will be that much behind in quality. Dammit so many AWESOME games early 2011... I have never been so pumbed up for so many games in such a short period!!! I already have preordered Dead Space 2, Bulletstorm and Crysis 2 and i will definitely buy Duke Nukem Forever with its release targeted for early 2011. But now i really want this too... It reminds me of Half Life 2 and Modern Warfare 2 and it looks amazing!!
I think this is going to be great. 1. It's fictional and not based on a current war. 2. MW2 proved that an invasion of the USA in a game was pretty awe inspiring. 3. It's a new franchise.
1. Yeh, but OF:DR did the same thing.. and sucked 2. At least I hope Kaos won't include the heroic defense of diners, ''RAMIREZ'' and Russians who barely fight better than the average reader of Vogue. 3. True, but that doesn't mean anything. Still, I know that Homefront is going to be a great game and together with Duke Nukem Forever the only game I look forward to for the first half of 2011, so drop the sarcasm and bring it on!
