Very cool that you can import your cars and stuff. The PSP title however is underwhelming.

I think that the graphics controls, and lack of career mode are underwhelming, however the game itself is fantastic. Maybe it is because I am very excited for GT5, and that is all I have been playing, but trust me, it sucks you in, especially when you know you can import your car collection.

But hey, that is just me, all reviews suck, because every game is oppinion based.

Graphics for a PSP title are incredible and easily look better than anything else out there for PSP in terms of a racing/driving game. what other game keeps up 60fps with the level of detail shown. Honestly, the game looks as good, if not better than GT3 on the PS2.

The only complaints I have for GT PSP are:
- Lack of career mode
- No infrastructure support for multiplayer.

The game is easily a 9/10 regardless of the above issues, reason being its just so damned fun.

I enjoyed the PSP Gran Turismo and it was not underwhelming. People didn't like the fact that you had to actually race to get a new set of dealers to spend your cash on. A great game in my opinion and I can't wait to transfer some of my cars to GT5 when that gets in my hands Wednesday.

Thx for the reminder about this feature.

Excellent, seems pretty painless. I only hope that it imports it into my garage and not just to the arcade side of the game. I've been hearing rumours that the cars that you have on the PSP will only be available in arcade mode; if this is true I will not be happy. That was one of the main reasons that I bought the PSP game in the first place.

Nice extra! but trolls will always complain about something

Does anyone know if the PSP can be used as a rearview mirror with GT5?

I remember that was one of the selling points a long time ago and was wondering if it ever came true.

Bass_fisherman5294d ago

Very unlikely ,PS3 doesnt have enough RAM to do such things unfornetly.
If it does, its gonna impress for sure

NBT915294d ago

That wasn't for GT, it was a "tech demo" for an F1 game. F1 championship addition was supposed to be able to do it, I don't know if it can or not though...

Thanks NBT, I knew I remembered seeing it somewhere. It would be nice to have in GT5 and I already have it on pre-order for the PS3. I probably will not be getting it for the PSP though.

To this day, anyone that plays a GT game for the first time and doesn't have experience with this kind of game will crash at the first corner, so not really sure what Shu is claiming here. I literally saw this happen a few months ago at an event where they had GT7 with VR2 up on a stage and members of the public got to try it out.
