I'm being dead serious. DVD games takes at most 8 gigs of space. 360 and PS3 games will look alike and will play alike because they will take 8 gigs of space. PS3 might get higher res textures but that will still come to no more than 10. BluRay holds 25-50 gigs. They can add a whole first season of a series or some important episodes.

But this can't be counted as special feature. It’s good and all. I would love to pick up some title and get to know more about the characters, y'know. Or when a game comes out that references some kick ass movies. Why not add them too. So when you play you can just feel the excitement as if you've been there. Y'know? See if they didn’t botcher it up or summin. Like for the upcoming reservoir dogs game. I’m sure lotta people who will play t he game haven’t seen the movie. They could add the movies plus interviews with the director and such… add so much of special features that you won’t get bored of the game.

It’s good, but with all that extra space on the bluray they should at least come up with some more sh!t for the game. Make Ps3 stand out. Y’know? Not just fill the void with some quirky rubbish. Who in their right mind, at this day and age, knows who popeye is? As for Nosferatu? Props for the idea, but a silent movie? Christ, you can’t have a still shot in a movie for more than 6 minutes cause the kids will get bored.

Give it time. I don't expect games to come rolling out the gate revolutionizing scope and style. Game developers are used to making games a certain way, and especially with cross-platform, that space isn't likely to be fully used. The best use of the space I've seen thus far is with Resistance; they're putting all of the versions on one disc, as well as all of the languages. Not too important; won't change the industry, but it's a use.

I guess I'm used to not expecting what I originally see to be what I'll finally see. I've seen first gen ps1 and ps2 games, as well as those released at the ends of their respective lives. I don't expect developers to maximize the use of Blu Ray from the get-go. And that's assuming they will in the first place. I don't care about longer games, personally. That's one of the reasons I don't like RPGs. I like a game to last 10 hours or so. But depending on what kind of extras they through in, the space could be useful in other ways. We've just got to give them time to figure out how.

Yeah you’re right, but right now I think devs are pressured into filling the void in the bluray. Sony wants bluray to be successful. I just hope that in the long run the space on the bluray won’t be just a gimmick but will be used for important stuff, like you mentioned languages and such. It may not sound like much but if the system is region free they can appeal to the world wide masses. Only cost would be in publishing.

We just have to wait and see.

What can I say? When something sounds credible and when something is credible you cannot, I repeat you cannot, argue with it. It may be anti-ps3, anti-360 and even anti-wii, as long as the person who wrote it has no personal vendetta against the system it can be read, analyzed and quite an informative read.

PS3 owners get to benefit from blu-ray's storage capacity, even on a multiplatform game. It's good to see devs going the extra yard and taking advantage of what's there.

Some times developers spend large amounts of money and time working in data compression. Thats because the data is too much for put it all on a dvd. This is the BD advantage: developers could care less about data compression and it gives more time for gameplay and graphics polishing. First gen PS3 games could not take that advantage, but second gen games could show the difference. First gen and second 360 games dont need that extra space, but to compete Microsoft need to do something, THEY know it and fanboys dont. So they are just waiting the right time, after bashing the PS3 decition to make the HD DVD a necessary ad on. WAIT FOR it guys. WELCOME CHANG3!!!!!
