Kingdom Hearts III could be for Wii 2

Recent rumours suggest that there's a high likelihood of Kingdom Hearts III coming to the Wii 2 as a sequel to the 3DS's Kingdom Hearts 3D.

ugh if they ruin KH3 by taking it away from PS I am swearing off the series for good. Its one thing to make spin offs and prequels but direct sequels should stick with the platform or in this case the same company as in Sony, I mean i played 1 and 2 on PS2 its natural to want 3 on PS3 and with the power it allows.

Bereaver4895d ago

Listen, we all know it wouldn't be ruined because it will be put on the Wii2.

But, it would be spitting in a lot of peoples faces that bought a ps3 in hopes of it being on ps3. I know when 1 and 2 was on the ps2.... I thought that 3 would be on the ps3.

And I'm still hoping for it.

Shang-Long4895d ago

Not with the move being out. There's no reason for it to be on the wii

Flashwave_UK4895d ago

same a fkn ps3 power house kh 3 game is what the world needs quallity and quantity if its on wii 2 it will not even have non of those

Makidian4896d ago

This is baseless speculation at its finest since it's suggesting that because there is going to be KH3D that will lead KH3 to the Wii2. If that was the case then every game since the first one would have been on a Playstation platform because the first game was on the PS2. Not saying that a Kingdom Hearts game is out of the question on the Wii, but it's unlikely to be KH3 and if KH3 makes it to the Wii2 it will not be exclusive. Kingdom Hearts games have sold historically better, and gotten better reviews, on Playstation platforms. Spin-offs are on the handhelds, main games will always be on a Playstation console, even if it isn't exclusive.

Logic = fail

The wii2 is most prob using AMD Fusion APU cheap and 10x more powerful than ps3 so KHIII makes sense on Wii2 because its Graphic heavy and if Black ops 3D is anything to go by 3D should wait 4 Wii2/PS4 ect ive seen BO ps3 in 3D colour tearing screen tearing and blurry textures something not present on 3DS so makes me think 3DS is way more powerful in pure graphics than ps3 as RE revelations has textures that match BO ps3 but in full 3D with no screen tear nothing 3D is only good on systems built 4 3D proccessors need to be very powerful in other words 720p rendered twice is too much 4 ps3 Hardware

chidesd4895d ago

I dought the Wii2 will even be as powerful as current gen PS3 or 360. I mean look as the power just from GC to wii... not that much of a difference

xXxSeTTriPxXx4895d ago (Edited 4895d ago )

"ive seen BO ps3 in 3D colour tearing screen tearing and blurry textures something not present on 3DS"

thats the fault of the developer, not the fault of the hardware.you should really think b4 you post.

then you compare a multipalt, that put 3d in as a after thought but made no mention of kz3 in 3d or gt5.games that were built from the ground up with 3d and focused on bring out what the ps3 can do.

i dear you to compare RE revelations to kz3 troll?

Makidian4895d ago

Keep dreaming matey. If you think the 3DS will be as powerful or more than a PS3/X360 you are sorely mistaken, much in the sam way that the Wii2 will be the same as them when it will likely be slightly less powerful than the current HD consoles. As it's been pointed out already, Black OP's 3D fail is the fault of Treyarch, not the limits of the PS3. And RE Revelations looks good but it doesn't look better than RE5 in any way. 720p rendered twice is exactly what the PS3 has been proven to do very, very well and you thinking that a third party title somehow shows a limit just shows that you are fooling yourself into blind fallacies.

Whatever the power of the 3DS is, the PSP2 will be more powerful which is a given and if that's not a PS3 handheld then the 3DS most certainly won't be. Nintendo doesn't take grand steps from gen to gen because it costs too much money.

ZombieAssassin4896d ago

I just want it to release on a home console and not a hand-held, don't really care what console as long as I get to play it in Hd.

ZoidsRaven4896d ago (Edited 4896d ago )

I don't care if it's on the Wii, just don't put it on a hand-held.

EDIT: Nothing against hand-helds. 7_7

Swiftfox4896d ago

This reminds me of the case with Chain of Memories on the Game Boy Advanved. Chain of Memories story led to the beginning of Kingdom Hearts 2 which wasn't on the GameCube, it was on the PS2.

Although this new game may possibly lead to Kingdom Hearts 3 that's not a guarentee that said game will be for the Nintendo brand.

My question is what if Final Fantasy VsXIII is unsuccesful? What will happen to Nomura? If Nomura drops from SquareEnix would we really want a Kingdom Hearts 3?

ZombieAssassin4896d ago

No Nomura would be the end of KH and FF series for me and i'm sure many others.

Yuji Naka guilty of insider trading breaks silence to accuse Square Enix producer of lies

Yuji Naka was fined $1.2 million and given a suspended jail sentence for the crime.

I find his comments around how Balan turned out to be very insightful as to why the game is trash. He basically apologises for its existence

solideagle5d ago

can you please give some of us who don't know anything about this, a summary of what happened?

Chocoburger5d ago

Balan was knowingly rushed out by S-E, it had an extremely short dev cycle and was fairly low budget.
Naka was the game's director until near the end when he was fired or perhaps he quit, I forgot.

carrotcakeag5d ago

@Chocoburger Yeah they did fire and replace him which caused him to unload a bunch of rants about the company. The project only existed because of Naka in the first place, he convinced Square to give him one shot at making a platformer. They gave him an opportunity but pulled the rug out before he was done for reasons not explained.

Hopefully they don’t. From this it doesn’t sound like that is the case and development is just taking too long.
