Marvel vs Capcom 3 License Cards & New Challenge Modes

Capcom-Unity posted up some cool new information on how you and your opponents stats will be tracked in Marvel vs Capcom 3's online modes. Capcom is calling them License Cards and they appear to be a huge improvement over the current system Battle Point system found in Super Street Fighter 4.

The stats on the card will show your wins and losses, favorite team, online tag, rank and attempt to break down your play style. As many of you know, the grading system in SSF4 usually doesn't mean much, so I am curious how accurate the prism chart will be in this system.

Capcom is also implementing a new type of challenge mode in the game, called Mission Mode. I sounds like you'll play a number of different matches, each with their own objective, such as using a Super Combo or doing a certain type of combo.

What do you guys think? Hype about the new cards and new take on challenge modes? Holy crap, only 85ish more days!

Every Capcom Vs. Game Ranked

As common as it is today, it is hard to believe that there was a time where gaming franchises crossing over was just a pipe dream. Capcom broke down the wall, but they took the combination of some of the most unlikely of franchises and made it the norm.

Whether it was a colossal successful partnership with Marvel Comics or a collaboration with rivals Namco and SNK, the “Vs.” series brought unforgettable experiences to the fighting genre.
