That's according to studio insiders who've spoken to trade mag Develop, following Activision's move to put Bizarre up for sale, risking 200 jobs.

Microsoft make it happen. Need these guys working on PGR5 as soon as possible.

you tried MS and the other big fish in the sea activision

now go work for sony or EAP just free of being bought out work as 2nd party so you can leave at any time

i would love to see them work for sony on a new racing series they are very talented studio but if MS is amrt they will get them back to work on PGR

or eap and they will retain their IP

Sashamaz2986d ago

Sony is a no go, maybe EA.

I hate to say it, especially after my comment yesterday, but MS might consider a purchase of Bizarre!

The bad thing is, it seems like all Bizarre can do is make racing games! MS needs studios who can make different games.

Racing games aren't as popular as they used to be. There are a few that can get gamers attention such as GT 5, Forza 3 and NFS... but beyond that, gamers will probably ignore everything else!

But then again. it seems like they want MS to buy them! It reminds me of the bird who left the nest and came back home because the real world was too harsh for them.

Microsoft needs to scoop them up. They need more first party developers, seriously.

with all the money that M$ bumped into kinect, would it be a good investment to buy bizzare?...

bizzare ain't a sure thing type of dev (like bungie or naughty dog).they will be spending $10 of millions on a potential (operative word being POTENTIAL)product, when the kinect has yet to reach it's billion dollar investment potential.

saint_john_paul_ii2986d ago (Edited 2986d ago )

Might as well buy them out. they made games exclusively for the 360 as a 2nd party dev before they went multiplatform. plus Microsoft needs first party devs quick.

Activision are the worst offenders in the industry right now. its just horrible.

Infernostew2986d ago

I'm not so sure they want to go with MS. I remember them complaining up a storm about the 360 after PGR4 came out. They'll probably go with another 3rd party publisher.

Cajun Chicken2986d ago

Do it, save them. Then set them down to Geometry Wars Kinect.

InTheKnow2986d ago

It would be really nice of M$ to pick these guys up right before Xmas. As for the Galaxy wars part...sadly, Activision will own the rights to that very successful game, unless M$ agrees to buy it. That would raise the price exponentially.

Elven62986d ago

Why would Activision own Geometry Wars? The IP's and everything would likely go with them assuming Activision wants a good price.

CREESH2986d ago

And Bioware, Bioware wanted to be owned by MS.

etownone2986d ago

Yeah right?!

As much as I enjoy my Xbox when I think of the lack of exclusive studios and how MS passed up on Bioware and BC ... Or how they let Bungie slip away ....

It just sucks

The Wood2986d ago (Edited 2986d ago )

a ps3 fanboy;)

but yeah they definitely let some talented developers slip through the net.

calm down fella's, we ALL know his allegiance;)

NYC_Gamer2986d ago

MS would have ruined Bioware by tryna force them to ignore their pc fanbase....just like they did with Remedy and Alan Wake...
