Black Ops Opening Day Crushes Avatar, Halo And Everything Else

About 5.6 million people bought copies of Call of Duty: Black Ops in North America and the United Kingdom on Tuesday, when the game went on sale.

That makes it the largest entertainment launch in history.

Does the arthur of this article realize that Halo is only on the 360?

Probably not but why fall into that trap of thinking somethings popularity means something about a game other than it is popular.

Proof that popularity just means "people like it" can be found everywhere. Justin Beiber has over 245,746,720 views on his Baby youtube vid.

I read that 59% of Black Ops sales were on the Xbox 360. That would put the Xbox 360 figure somewhere around 3.3 million. What point were you trying to prove again?

Edit: I am afraid I do not have a non-Vgchartz source, so feel free to take my reply with a grain of salt. That being said however, 59% seems to be a reasonable estimation considering the marketing push for the Xbox 360 version of the game. It is also worth noting that FPS games generally sell better on the Xbox 360, so it is reasonable to conclude that the Xbox 360 version took the lion's share of the overall sales.

No Vgchartz...

Edit: i'm pretty sure you got that from Vgchartz

NewsForMe2984d ago
