No offense but..

they have PS3's in south africa?

strotee2987d ago

Nope. Sony is just going to send a shipment of games to a region with zero consoles.

(FYI: South Africa isn't a region, it's an actual country with a population of roughly 50 million people. The more you know *shooting star*)

Dude we are the most economically viable country in Africa, and since the PS1 SA has pretty much been Sony territory. Last I remember, PSP's were selling better here then DS's, for example.

We also fall under the PAL region.

That said, 24th! So nice!

wesley-dw this is most moronic thing i have heard in 7days, no offense . . . The love for gaming in Africa is comparable to any part in the world, that you think that ps3 do no exist in SA is really sadonic. Anyways this is a good news for africangamers

Dark-Cloud42987d ago

KratosGirI2987d ago

The World Cup was held there. What do you think?

DanteKnightsTemplar2987d ago

With all of the resources out there, your knowledge of the world comes from Television and movies.

Wesley, Wesley, Wesley... I'm not mad, but really, read a little more and trust a little less and you'll see a whole universe of lies constructed to make atrocities seem justifiable. I'm not going into what I just written right now; but what I will do is give you a few pics to maybe enlighten you on what's what.

Okay, first of all, just some quick buildings in areas off of the top of my head

A run-down building in Nigeria:

the top of a building in Cameroon

Yes, this is traditional architecture:

but so is this:

and this:

and this:

I forget the lady's name, but she was the first female to attend a engineering college and she built this structure:

Here's some starter links if you really, really, want to broaden your image of African architecture

You really got to stop allowing mainstream media to educate you.

RE5 isn't based upon any real scenario, ya know.

wesley-dw go back to your cave you.

So basically GT5 is getting a world wide release date of the 24th-25th of November for most major regions, awesome.
Sony will have a huge week world wide on that week, most likely to sell over a million PS3 word wide that week alone.
God knows how many GT5 will sell as a standalone game week one/day one.

Dark-Cloud2987d ago

i think people hate you now XD ...

visualb2987d ago

South Africa is a developED country, not developING, so them having PS3's is as normal as any other developed country having PS3's.

diehardgamer2987d ago (Edited 2987d ago )

Pity they don't have any Hi-Ace taxis in GT, hey? It might have improved the driving a little.

DanteKnightsTemplar2987d ago

wouldnt mind a 1400 bakkie! Or a PUTCO bus lol

hadlee2987d ago

The Putco bus is just a bit too extreme for GT5!

South Africa is a region of the country of Africa, according to our beloved Sarah Palin.
