Top 10 Sega Games We Want on Xbox Live Arcade

From the feature top 10 list:

"God bless Sega. Over the past few months, the company has released a number of its classics on Xbox Live Arcade, including numerous entries in the Sonic series (topped off by the Dreamcast favorite Sonic Adventure), Streets of Rage 2, and Gunstar Heroes. Later this month, we’ll be cruising for a bruising with a near-perfect port of the race-anywhere game Crazy Taxi, and next year we’ll get Space Channel 5 Part 2 and Sega Bass Fishing. But, really, we’re greedy, because we want more. We’ve sifted through several lists of Sega classics and came up with a list of ten we absolutely, positively want on Xbox Live Arcade. Touched up, in original format, we don’t care, just give us these games, Sega. Let us know what you think of our choices, too!"

I'll take Jet Set Radio over any game currently on Xbox LIVE; make it happen!

For me, it's Ikaruga. I have a lot of XBLA games, but that one is heaven to me.

Jet set radio future plays on the 360. You can find it real cheap as a double pack with SEGA GT for the original xbox.

My list will differ considerably from others. No surprise there as these top 10 lists are really opinionated.

For me, I am an arcade guy. Give me Galaxy Force, Thunder Blade, Daytona USA (arcade ed), Space/Planet Harriers, G-LOC, Radmobile, Sega Super GT, Indy 500, ...

Oh the list goes on and on. The $$$ spent on playing those after school, you have no idea.

You do know Ikaruga is on Live already, no?

Good list. Here's my top:
1- Shenmue 1+2
2- Panzer Dragoon Saga
3- Fighters Megamix

...although I'll only pick it up if it at least has the option for the original voices. English dub was one of the worst ever.

DigitalRaptor2984d ago (Edited 2984d ago )

Not sure where you live, but here in UK (Europe) the first game had an English dub, and although it's pretty damn terrible, it's the version I've grown to love. Shenmue II was an import version for Europe with a Japanese dub which was much better, and that is the version I have grown to love.

I hope they bring out the respective versions that were originally released in each country. Although knowing Sega, that is probably too much effort for them and they will probably just include the English dub for both games and be done with it (which would be the worst possible outcome)!

Yi-Long2983d ago

... I live in Holland, so yeah, Europe.

I had Shenmue 1 on the dreamcast, with said horrible english dub. unlike you, I did NOT love the dub, and felt it made an otherwise very good game worse than it actually was.

Didn't pick up Shenmue 2, and when it came out for the Xbox, it had an english dub again, which was THE reason why I never bought it for Xbox.

I just hope that if Sega decides to release these games, they'll include the option, but like you, and knowing Sega, I seriously doubt they will. They're complete idiots when it comes to giving their fans what they want.

Hmmmm, Sonic CD and Daytona are classics, mean Sega won't port them over to XBLA!

dagamdagee2984d ago

I'd take JGR and the Shenmue games. I think Toe Jam & Earl is a little too obscure and/or weird for this generation. It's a great, great game, but I don't think kids these days would understand it.

LaurenKB1232984d ago

Can't disagree with you there, some weird games from the 90's....

Jet set radio or Shenmue for me
