Black Ops showing the strain as multiplayer verges on the unplayable

Freezes very frequently. But I'm playing matches with 18 ppl. Might have something to do with it.

I'm having some pretty big issues (PS3)

- In matches, I'd say 1/3 games I drop

- Standard connection issues, tons of lag

- Party system invitations/joining
inconsistencies

- Due to "lag": player vs. player interaction is really messed up, inconsistency between parties. Most likely due to lack of dedicated servers. HUGE host advantage!

the only issue i am experiencing is all party members not making it into the game. usually 4 out of 6 make it and the other 2 drop.

But other than that, i cant say i have had any problems... i only search locale only and i have the fastest internet in Australia so 99% of the time i am hosting. So i have nothing else to say...

except FUCK THOSE FUCKING RC-XDs!

Treyarc really messed up with the other versions didn't they? It's a shame, Black ops is the best cod yet. I'v put in about 10 hpurs multi, 3 hours zombies, finished campaign on Hardcore aswell, it is the best one, this is coming from a Cod4 lover, Waw meh'er and MW2 hater

It will get better. These issues are very common in a lot of games.

The multiplayer itself is fantastic.

The PC got f*cked bad though, and I feel sorry for PC gamers. PS3 gamers are next, and of course, XBox gamers have gotten the smoothest experience.

I haven't experienced much lag at all though, I've usually had smooth sailings, but I've had my PS3 freeze at least 5 times now and it is very annoying to see them not have ironed out things like that.

No...there are issues with new games, yeah, but this is not excusable and Treyarch shouldn't walk away with a slap on the wrist. They knew this game was going to be big, they should of took the extra effort to fix things like this.

With Medal of Honor every little issue people could find were a huge deal. Yet you could get into games and play lag free just fine.

I have the PS3 version, and I haven't once experienced any of the problems mentioned. Black Ops is definitely the best CoD to date. MW2 was garbage (the campaign was kind of cool though), so I'm glad Treyarch upped the ante.

My PS3 hasn't frozen once while playing this game, and I haven't had any problems at all, except maybe slight framerate drops when a lot on screen is happening.

On PC, sure, it is inexcusable. But I play on PS3 and my experience has been pretty standard overall.

Keep in mind they are dealing with the biggest MP game on 3 different platforms.

Playing on PSN and I get into games fine, but they are always (and i mean always) laggy as hell, its beyond frustrating now. That and the framerate drops are extremely noticable, good thing it never gets as hectic as Modern Warfare 2.

All the problems are mostly to do with the PC version. And last time I checked the PC version only made up 5% of all Black Ops sales. It's safe to say COD is mainly a console game and if you want the best you have to play it on consoles.

PC gamers it's time to accept that a lot of developers simply don't give a shit about you anymore.

Just give us a more or less stable game and dedicated servers support. We'll be happy.
(Although I've found my experience on the PC to be pretty great since the last patch)

I'm guess I'm one of the few that is lucky to run the game smoothly on my rig, but I guess those who don't have a high end rig get screwed upon...I just hope every PC gamer can enjoy the game no matter how powerful their PC is... :D

Its pretty frustrating when you're trying to play S&D, and you get killed from lag. The killcam is not even close to what was on my screen at times. Sometimes players just skip around and it's so hard to play like that. The game is fun as hell though. I like the fact that you can choose what to buy. If the multiplayer gets smoother then it will be fantastic.

I have black ops for the 360 and there is some very noticeable framerate drops online when alot explosions are going off and alot of people are on screen shooting.It also take a long time to get into a lobby sometimes.I just hope treyarch listens to us and puts out a patch across all versions of black ops.
