Check out this The Settlers VI video with new graphics and new gameplay elements. For each mission you have to decide between 6 heroes with specific abilities. The Levels took place all over the world. From the northern regions to africa. It´s in german but it is nearly every thing they said in the last sentence.
Eurogamer's conlcusion in their The Settlers: Rise of an Empire review:
"It's a small improvement over the last Settlers, and therefore a game that many devotees will be rooting for, but there's no getting away from the fact that judged against its peers, or even its own ancestors, this is an average offering in terms of depth, challenge and longevity, and blighted by fussy technical snags to boot. There's just enough of the original charm left in its DNA to make Rise of an Empire worth a look for the truly dedicated fan, and I suppose it makes for a fairly accessible introduction to this Olde Worlde RTS sub-genre for cautious newcomers, even though you should really just take the plunge and pick up Anno 1701 instead.
It depresses me to type this, but maybe The Settlers' time has passed. As long as it tries to be all things to all people, instead of playing to its unique strengths, another entry can only send it deeper into the realms of mediocrity. And this series deserves better."

They should have included Jericho and Witcher. Also, Uncharted is a superb game but I don't think it will be overlooked and people will get it. I know it's a day one purchase for me and something tells me that deep will also get it on day one :)

hour of drakness is worth infinite hours of gameplay... You can actually level up your items in the game
My biggest problems with the list are:
1.Not including Jericho.
2.Including Hannah Montana.

3.They said Uncharted is a bad name! I mean how on earth is it a bad name? ]
Uncharted is a totally cool and old-school name resembling classic adventure movies and certainly matchs the game's look and feel. An "Uncharted" beautiful and lush jungle and world waiting for players and Drake to enter.
I think Uncharted is a perfect name. If you're looking for bad names how about "Witcher". What the hell does thet even mean? Since when was Witch a verb?
they got most of it right, there are some great titles on that list that I probably wont pick up till next year cause there's so many other games to buy
I wont miss jean the arc that seems like an awesome rpg by the reviews, Ttabula Rasa because it sounds like mass effect only with the only difference that it is multiplayer (that and i love SCI-FI). And uncharted has been promoted up the wazoo in most sony events i wouldnt miss that title but i see the reasoning why the general public might pass them over at least for a while.
i think alot of people are going to play uncharted. thats one game thats makes me want a ps3. i think skate. should be on the list.
In this game, the player builds lively, bustling towns in a medieval world. Everything is visible, lovingly animated and realistic. Each settler has his or her own daily routine, with a range of different actions and behaviours that can be observed by the player at all times. This enables him to get the best out of his Settlers, build up a flourishing economy, tend to his settlers' needs, and protect his empire against danger from the outside.
