Eurogamer: Sonic Colours Review

Eurogamer: "In graphical terms, next-gen consoles have matured to a point where developers are really pushing at the edges of platform capability. It's an arena in which the Wii, with its sub-HD capabilities, was never designed to compete.

It's far from obsolete, though. Sonic Colours is a reminder that visual impact needn't be about bump-mapping and high dynamic-range lighting. One level, aptly named Starlight Carnival, is a textbook example of how to get the most out of a less well-endowed machine."

Was this kid born in 2005?

Someone call his parents and sit him in front of a Genesis. Teach your children people.

Actually I am in my 20's and have gone back and played many of the Sonic games made, personally I find a lot of the older games to be absolutely awful with a particular nod to the original Sonic the Hedgehog. I know a good game when I play it and the games on my list and ones that are truly great and the pinnacle of the Sonic experience.

Well. I guess an opinion is an opinion.

But just because you can't make it through a game doesn't make it bad.

"Classic sonic for life!"

and sorry...I just can't let the "absolutely awful with a particular nod to the original sonic the hedgehog" slide

For me it would be.

1. Sonic Adventure

2. Sonic 2

3. Sonic and Knuckles

4. Sonic 3

5. Sonic the Hedgehog 1991

donwel2986d ago

That's pretty much my list, only I'd put S&K and Sonic 3 at 1 and 2. And maybe drop Adventure for Sonic Chaos for GameGear/Master System, I had so much fun with that game.
