In-depth Review: Costume Quest - Electronic Theatre

Collecting all the costumes in the game isn’t as essential as it might seem, essentially unfolding as a natural part of the game’s progression, but simply the desire to witness their differing special techniques during combat is enough of a pull. The combat system performs as perhaps the most basic version of turn-based system ever witnessed, with basic attacks complimented by time-charging special attacks. Each costume has a different version of each, and each character in your party can be given a Battle Stamp to augment a specific ability. Reliably pace-breaking though it may be, the combat is certainly not Costume Quest’s strongest asset.
