Go Criterion! Maybe they can resurect Need For Speed from the ashes, or just let it crash and burn, cause those crashes look pretty sweet.

Great job with that comparison, that is very impressive... Again the PS3 Prevails

velocitygamer4921d ago

How? They are both identical.

As you can tell, on the police car screen. 360 version can be a little too dark. Almost nothing behind is visible.
Taillight lighting on the road(as well as the road itself) is clearer on the PS3.
And on the Porsche screen, lighting on the car itself is also...well, better.

Comparing a demo.. amazing -.- Anyhow they're identical, end of discussion.

Lol....people do it all the time?

GiantJedi4921d ago

and you can run and tell that homeboy

Shaman4921d ago (Edited 4921d ago )

So now every site has comparison...wow...what happened to gaming?

Boody-Bandit4921d ago (Edited 4921d ago )

It's just here on N4G and various other gaming sites like it, that tend to care more about reviews, sales and pixel counters.

I played both versions. I can't see any discernible differences between the two and they play identical. That is what you would think should matter most, gameplay.

Si-Fly4921d ago

If you can't see a difference between the two I suggest buying a new tv. Ive downloaded both and prefer the ps3 version, less jaggies. You are right that they both play exactly the same.

BigKev454921d ago

Played the demo. All I can is meh.

A Cupcake for Gabe4921d ago

The racing is Meh. But the cop take downs are a lot of fun.

DelbertGrady4921d ago

The racing is awesome once you learn how to power slide.

Si-Fly4921d ago

Except that slows you down if your going for a quick time.

Looking Back to Two of Need for Speed's Best Games - Most Wanted and Hot Pursuit

Paul writes - "EA know a good thing when they see it, and for multiple years November was Need for Speed month. In a break from the usual routine, I'm going to be looking back at two games here, released in 2005 and 2010 respectively. The earlier game is Need for Speed: Most Wanted, which has the distinction of being one of the very best in the franchise. The second game comes from 2010, and is Need for Speed Hot Pursuit; which I'll talk about just as the Remastered version of the game has hit the stores."

Hotpursuit 2 was good as well.

The-Matrix-has-you145d ago (Edited 145d ago )

I completely adore this game! In fact its probably my favorite racing game. I recently dusted off my xbox 360 to play Most Wanted 2005. Still a great game, though I do not remember there being such horrible performance. Like massive frame-pacing issues. screen tearing, latency. If any game ever truly needed to be remastered, it this one for sure!

Uuuu, I loved this one. I want it.

LucasRuinedChildhood1298d ago

No NFS released since Hot Pursuit (2010) has came close. The Ghost Games NFS games were just dreadful (to me they were anyway, 2015 was okay I suppose). Would love to replay this and I hope it has an update for next-gen as well.

DarkZane1298d ago (Edited 1298d ago )

I loved Most Wanted as well (on PS3, I think it released in 2012). After that, it has gone downhill, but the latest games are slowly coming back up. I loved NFS Heat, but it needs to get better before it comes back to same level as NFS Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted.

Then again, NFS Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted were likely better because they were from Criterion (in fact, those were the last 2 games from criterion in nfs series).

LucasRuinedChildhood1298d ago

@DarkZane
complete agree. Most Wanted was good fun as well.

boing11297d ago

Yeah, Criterion has made two best NFS games in my opinion.

georeo1298d ago

Oh yes! They cops vs the drivers online was a blast.

LucasRuinedChildhood1298d ago

Better be 60FPS unlike the original console ports.

Sgt_Slaughter1298d ago

I would be excited but NFS is basically dead in the water at this point, a shell of its former self.
