Shmusicup (Shoot-music-up) is a hybrid of a rhythm/music game and a shoot em up. It is a vertical scrolling shooter where the enemy bullet patterns are generated by any mp3 chosen from your music collection!
When you inevitably get stuck on the master of all difficult game’s games, just give him a ring and he will be right there to help you solve those game tapes! ($2.99 for the first minute, $1.99 for each additional minute).

While most rhythm and music games stick to a setlist of predetermined music, some have gone further. Games like Audiosurf and Beat Hazard let gamers use their own music. Shmusicup looks to be the newest game in this subgenre and has a beta available for those interested to try.
