Digital Spy: Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes review

Digital Spy writes: "Samurai culture might sound like the ideal basis for a video game, but in practice developers have rarely done justice to the subject matter. Between the obscure releases that don't make it outside of Japan to the button-bashing monotony of the Dynasty Warriors series, it's fair to say that gamers haven't been treated to a truly definitive experience since Samurai Shodown in 1993. Capcom is the latest studio to attempt to rectify this, delivering a sequel to its PS2 offering Devil Kings. While expectations weren't exactly sky-high based on the plight of its forebear, Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes manages to break new ground on the cringe-worthy scale while dishing out some of the most repetitive action imaginable."

Screw the game reviews and the horse they rode on in i bought the game and to me it's worth my money.
