GamerZines writes: Whilst Ubisoft and Sony can see the value in providing remastered HD versions of previously successful titles, it would seem that rival Microsoft don't share such a view in dwelling on the past.
What collection could they do other than a Halo collection? Also, wouldn't multiple HD remake games take multiple DVDS?
Spliter Cell would be very cool whatever platform I could play it on.
crimson skies, quantum redshift and bloodwake? Those were fun games that could use at least a sequel if not an hd makeover.
I want kotor 1,2 remakes and there are a few other great xbox games id like to see
I do want titles like SotC because I don't think the PS2 did it justice, and it was slightly ahead of it's time. But other games such as Halo, mgs2/3 etc, they're great the way they are. No need for a remake. They're not bad looking or anything.
There are a ton of Xbox HD remakes I Would love to see.
While it's not an HD Remake, everyone wants Killer Instinct. I have to believe Microsoft/Rare don't have right to he IP at this point.
The creator of Phantom Dust once said he would never work with MS again because they no longer cared about games anymore. Now he's back with Kinect (Porject Orta)which might be an indicator of MS listening. Hopefully this doesn't turn into a Nintendo Golden Eye deal and MS and Rare give there fans what they want and deserve.
Not enough for huge consumer demand, so they will never come. The only ones that would be successful and worth Microsoft's time and money are Halo 1 & 2!
Halo and Shenmue are the only two remakes I wasn't as of now for 360
I wish they could do a remake of Shenmue but i doubt that would happen with sega.
Do people not pay attention? SEGA are bringing out Dreamcast classics. So far we have Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi, Space Channel 5 Part 2, and Sega Bass Fishing. It's only a matter of time until Sega announces Sonic Adventure 2 and Shenmue.
Remake Halo CE and Conkers Bad Fur Day and i am set.
What's there on the original xbox thats worth an HD remake, infact What HD remake since the xbox 360 its self is not HD
You forgot to add RRROODD and LOOOOLLL
has backwards compatibility for many titles, I bet they are kicking themselves for that. Also there is Games on Demand. Sony stops backwards compatibility for the PS3 and creates HD remakes, this then turns out to be a new revenue stream. Just like Sony wishes they had charged for online. Well maybe not everyone at sony but there has to be at least one japanese man in a suit in Sony's executive offive looking at that the xbox live subscription money with envy. I for one hope they at least start selling PS2 games on PSN.
what about voodoo vince that was a good game and grab by the ghoulies was also good...
I still keep it around along with my old xbox.eitehr remeake voodoo vince or give vince a sequel he could be your xbox 360 platormer game mascot
Sounds good if the price is right ... This is why I don't understand all the fighting and bashing between each company ..when they both copy each other on the regular basis :)
Halo 1 is real value enough.
is that even fair? cause form what i see, the ps2 games(even the multiplatform ones) have a greater chance of being remade than the xbox versions. the only thing ms had riding on was halo and they still do. look at ubisoft. they are making a splinter cell and prince of persia collection only on ps3. it's because hd remakes are just right for that blu-ray disk and I'm sure that if they made an xbox 360 version of those collections, the ps3 version would sell better.
Or you could just buy the Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell games for the XBox and play them on your 360. If you look around at Gamestop you can usually still find them... That's because 360 has some "backwards compatibility". Remember, the feature that Sony dropped so they could charge for HD re-makes and bring down the price of their console before they got booted out of this generation.
Most orginal xbox exclusives werer from 3.party devs like Bioware, Valve... i think if one of them choose to make a HD-Remake, it would be Multiplatt or exclusiv to PS3 (Cause of Blu-ray (See MK-, SC- and PoP-Collection)or PSN exclusiv like Oddworld: strangers wrath, cause of xbl restrictions) BTW: Xbox used a DVD with 8.5GB Xbox 360 Uses a DVD with 6.3GB...a HD remake would come with more than one Disc...so it would be more expensiv for devs, cause of fees, they would pay to M$
With compression technologies that Microsoft are providing the disc size is not an issue.
They they created "real value" that didn't exist by removing PS2 backwards compatibility.
Can we just get an HD remake of the Metal Gear Series?
But, more than likely on PS3.
there are some games which just need an HD remake.. for my 360, I would really like to see PDO having a launch PS3, we routinely play games out of the PS2 library.... some are just classics and dont mind playing them in upscaled resolution... ZOE still looks and plays great.. most def. buying the Sly series and of course SOC next year I have always been a proponent of BC. Just expands your game library for free
I'm all for companies remastering some of their classics, yet saying they're HD is misleading. Yeah, the game runs at 720p/1080p, yet it's of lower quality images than you'd expect from something that is designed for HD. It's like watching an 80's movie that's upconverted. It's not real HD, since it was never recorded in HD.
Please make an HD remake of knights of the old republic 1 and 2 that is all M$
You need to look at Bioware and Obsidian for that. lol
