Dennis Dozier: "Black Ops will be the game of choice for the next year"

Professional gamer Denniz "zDD" Dozier loves gaming. In particular he finds himself extremely fond of first-person shooters -- so much so that he's become the number-one-ranked Call of Duty player on the globe.

He's played a fair amount of EA's recently-released blockbuster title Medal of Honor and has had sone early hands-on time with Activision's upcoming title Call of Duty: Black Ops. In fact, Dozier has played enough of each to make one bold prediction.

"Call of Duty: Black Ops will be the game of choice for the next year or so," Dozier tells News10 in an exclusive interview.

Number one ranked COD player on earth? Pretty impressive stuff right there. He isn't kidding when he says COD Black Ops will be the game of choice for the next year or so. MW2 is still the most played online game between one PS3 and 360....so it makes sense for the sequel to fill MW2's VERY big shoes.

Its a rehash at best. Aside the new maps there isnt much different then MW1, the game probably still is Sub HD on consoles, Graphics more or less will be simular to MW1. Prepare to pay for 2-3 DLCs as soon as this game is released. The DLCs will most like contain a good chunk of maps you already played on from MW1, WaW and MW2. Funny how Activision can get away with charging for old maps.

That guys can speak for himself. It's still just another Call of Duty to me.

ShinGino, I feel that way about most FPS games that come out.

i don't know about that, i mean as soon as killzone 3 comes out i know i wont be paying much attention to call of duty black ops, that is... if i even get it.

I mean..next year is booked with crazy games and not just from Sony but from everyone else, so this to me sounds like wishful thinking.

When modern warfare came out there weren't that many games in the same year, now that's a whole different story.

To put things in perspective lets take a good look at whats ahead should we? because if i am a fan of a game i could say certain game will be the de facto choice for yeas to come as if that's the only thing people buy a console to play in the first place.(sounds pretty insulting if you ask me)

hmm lets see now..

Granturismo 5
Killzone 3
Infamous 2
Motorstorm apocalypse
Littlebigplanet 2
Resistance 3
The last guardian
Ratchet and clank all 4 one
Twisted metal

Gears of war 3

Deadspace 2
Batman: Arkham City
Marvel vs capcom 3
Metal gear rising
Ninja gaiden 3

possibly a new grandtheftauto
Among others, including ofcourse another... yes call of duty game. which to my knowledge is going to be made by whatever is left of infinity ward. you know using the old copy and paste formula that so many don't care about, as long as they get a new game to play.

So..to say that this particular game will be the most played game all year round is like saying there's no point on these developers releasing newer games.

In my personal opinion i think this guy is stretching it just a bit.
